Shocked, but not shocked.
The shock is because I have never seen a film like this, which shows the festering in Tiemu Jiquan's bones - the festering caused by evil and cruelty - so vividly and accurately. It is said that the material comes from a real case in the former Soviet Union, but I don't know Russian, so I can't verify it.
Not shocked because I understand. Combined with reality, you will probably understand. Accelerate the age, you will understand better.
The film is based on the Soviet-Afghan war in 1984, and "cargo 200" is the Soviet code, which refers to the zinc coffins used to transport the remains of fallen soldiers back to China. The core main line of the story is a cold-blooded and perverted former Soviet police officer who kidnaps a young girl back home as a sex slave. The whole film has many characters, multiple lines, and rich plots. It dissects the upper, middle and lower layers of the former Soviet society, so that we can see the doomsday carnival of the vested interests, and see the disorder, disability and collapse under the surface of stability.
There are many things worth discussing, so here are just a few.
➊ The victim girl is not a commoner from the bottom of the world. Her father is Ou Shuzhuishucheng, and her fiancé is a heroic paratrooper who fought in Afghanistan. So what? The building is overturned, the evil of human nature is agitated and publicized, and Coffin Erdai's Niu Temple-Quan identity cannot protect her from the catastrophe.
➋ The lawless and perverted police officers who wantonly kill everywhere are undoubtedly a minion attached to the structure of Absolute Quanli. However, the image of such a powerful and almighty Leopard Li Weiquan hides the truth of impotence and perversion.
➌ The farmer's wife avenged her wrongly murdered husband. After she killed the perverted police officer neatly, she didn't turn her head and left, and she didn't even look at the imprisoned girl who fell to the ground. She had tried her best to rescue the girl at the farm before. . People's hearts fall like this.
➍ A college professor who studies atheistic philosophy, desperate and lying to protect himself, slips into church to soothe his troubled conscience.
The style of this film is heavy and cold, and there are many scenes in the second half that are scary, disgusting, and uncomfortable. If it was a European or American film, I would denounce it as perverted and curious. But against the background of the leopard, my eyes passed through the swarms of flies buzzing above the carrion, and I read every metaphor and curse of the director.
PS: Many film critics say that the appearance of the perverted police officer resembles the emperor, but I don't think it is so similar.
Aleksey Balabanov, the "cult master" is well deserved.
I have always avoided cult, disapproved of metaphors, and detoured to violent aesthetics. However, Barabanov's cult, metaphor and violence strike me with awe, awe and awe. The admiration is not only for his deep Russian blood, but also for his amazing talent in video performance. I don't fully agree with Director Ba's thoughts and concepts, but the biggest resonance comes from the common experience of the leopard. His critical power has grown, and it is by no means sighing in the sky and crying and crying, but an iron fist that slaps the case.
