The audio-visual technology is first-class, especially the sound processing, so that the film maintains an undercurrent atmosphere. Although the whole film does not have any soundtrack, it creates a suspenseful and tense atmosphere through various sounds of daily life: the horn of the car, the elevator in the apartment, the ringing of the mobile phone, the alarm and so on. This technique pushes the terrifying atmosphere to its peak in the last scene, unexpectedly turning the family ethics drama into a thriller and suspense genre, and it also relies on the classic plot of Kubrick's "The Shining". This is a bit unexpected for a director who directed his debut feature film, and the best director and best debut awards won at the Venice Film Festival last year are also well deserved. However, compared with the skilled film skills, the psychological analysis and mining of the characters in the film are not ideal. The psychological changes of the little boy are more fully explained, while the characters and psychological descriptions of the parents are missing. When did this domestic violence-prone father cry bitterly, claiming to have changed his mind, and sometimes rage out of jealousy? What is the secret behind the mother who taught her son to lie and deceive? There is too much blank space in the script, which makes the characters' behavioral motives full of doubts. This is obviously not objective and calm for a realistic subject of domestic violence, which undoubtedly reduces the strength of criticism. And the clue of my sister is more incomprehensible. I feel that the previous foreshadowing has not been brought into play, although the long shots at the dance were used quite well.
