When I first read it, I was always puzzled:
1. How could such a simple killing method really succeed again and again without leaving a trace? The first murder was when the victim pushed someone off a high-rise building while helping her fetch a silk scarf. I thought at the time that the distance between the silk scarf and the man did not seem to require the victim to risk flipping over the balcony railing, right? Of course, this may be a visual error, but if the man asked me to get a fishing rod for you at the time, what would the bride do next? Does she have a backup plan? The film does not show any preparations made by the bride to ensure that the victim will make her expected reactions and choices to fall into her murderous trap.
2. Although every murder of the bride is fully investigated and the right medicine is prescribed, the biggest common ground of every plan is that the victim will be fascinated by her beauty. For the first time, the seductive means of revenge has been somewhat inferior, making people think that if there is no beauty, there is no revenge ability at all. Second, everyone's preferences for beauty are always different. Does a beauty like her conquer everyone without distinction? What if the victim kept his feelings for his wife and lover for a while and didn't want to hook up with her?
3. The actress was so charming when she was young, but when she played this role, she looked old and had a fat body. At least it didn't make me feel any irresistible charm at all.
Of course, a suspense film is a bit picky about the logic of the story details and the state of the actors at the time, but these all made me feel flat about the suspense and excitement at the time. What impressed me the most was the portrayal of emotion: 1. The wedding march throughout the film, and the repeated memories of the wedding scene of the tragic death of the bridegroom, all show the inner world of the heroine from the side: this is her motive for desperate and repeated murder, this is her theme for the rest of your life. 2. Confessions of the heroine when she kills again: Every woman dreams of her real son, but I never and don't have to dream, because my David is always by my side, always there (to the effect). This sentence deeply affected me, and I still remember it. 3. The painter of one of the victims has the most positive image among all the victims. Unlike other victims, he really fell in love with the bride and treated her with great respect, thus ending his past romance. In the face of a decent and sincere person, the bride hesitated. This is one of the choices made by fate. If the bride stops at this point and composes a love song with the painter, it is the most in line with the mainstream values: stop killing people, use blood Return the blood; don't indulge in the past and ruin the future; cherish the people in front of you, and life happiness is more important than ruining yourself for revenge.
The bride did not, the hesitation was only temporary, she still decided to start, and continued on the road of revenge.
