The style is similar to "Buried Alive", and the comparison is made unconsciously when you look at it. The problem is obvious, the rhythm is a little slow, the performance of the protagonist is not professional enough, and the plot lacks tension. But one person plus a small space and so many long shots, only through the radio dialogue, can attract the audience to the end, this film can not be regarded as a bad film, at least people can still win some applause by putting it there at low cost.
When the actors other than the protagonists finally appeared, the whole film was ruined, and it was so completely ruined. . .
In fact, from the last radio call of the astronauts, I believe that most of the audience, like me, have already guessed that everything was a trap set by the Soviets. This setup seems pretty neat to me. . I was curious about what would happen after the male protagonist was caught by the Soviets. I didn't expect that, without any precautions, you would end up like this. Might as well just end the male lead's last radio call. . To be honest, I kind of hope that the male protagonist survives and sees how he faces his beloved Rorty.
The most exciting part of the whole film is the shaping of the male protagonist's mentality that is constantly changing with the changing living conditions in the three-way dialogue with Britain, the United States and Russia. Not to mention the political mentality of the British people, I felt like the embarrassing situation of Taiwanese between China and the United States.
I give the first 30 minutes a 5, the middle 50 minutes a 7, and the last 10 minutes a 3. .
There are a few places where I couldn't help but press fast-forward, and wrote indiscriminately. There may be errors in details. Welcome to discuss and correct them. Anyway, after watching this one, I decided I would like to watch Buried Alive again.
In other words, the appearance of Rorty at the beginning of the film made me naively think that this might be a science fiction film about extraterrestrial life...
