The film's perspective has always maintained an almost static prying perspective. The camera looks like a fly sneaking into Hongka's residence, observing Hongka's life, alcoholism, killing, and carnage.
The whole film of "Golden Gloves" is full of the stench of a mixture of sewers and corpses, and there is no doubt about the display of ugly human bodies. This is the original purpose of Fatih Akin.
But when you see this, you may also want to ask, what is the point of bringing such a perverted murderous case to the big screen in such an extremely disgusting way?
In fact, there are.
The story in the film took place in the 1970s. That was the era when the divided East and West Germany merged. It was also the age when a group of newborns born under the influence of World War II grew up to middle age. Almost all the characters in the film were People abandoned by society.

The characters in the film also use a performance method that is almost like a walking dead. We can often see such performances in zombie films. And the rare normal role in the film, and the high school boys and girls who have nothing to do with the "Golden Gloves", after entering this dirty bar in order to prove their courage, they completely lost their social status. "Golden Gloves" is definitely a disgusting dish served in the beginning of the year, but I also hope that audiences who can afford it will not just watch it with a curious mind. Behind the extreme violence and killing, there is still a hidden meaning.
