1. Ten films on the film’s birth day
On December 28, 1895, at Le Grand Café Capucines, 4 Avenue Capucines, Paris, ten video works are about to be shown. People are waiting enthusiastically, not knowing what will happen. The lingering fragrance of coffee envelops the dim air, a beam of light flew over the crowd, knocking on a door on a distant wall, and then, one after another, vivid characters came out from the door...
This is the first work of the Lumière brothers: "The Gate of the Factory", which is 46 seconds long. The workers walked out of the factory of the Lumiere brothers, someone stepped out of a bicycle at the side door, and then a carriage came out from the door. The people in front of the camera did not notice that there was a machine recording their every move, everything was as usual and vivid as a documentary. That day, the Lumière brothers also screened nine other works:

This is the earliest comedy in film history. The little boy stepped on the water pipe secretly, and the gardener went to check the faucet. As soon as the boy raised his foot, the gardener's hat was washed into the sky by the water. Later, the gardener chased the boy several times and caught him and gave him a spank.
