I remember when I was writing the 2008 Norton version of "Invincible Hulk" film review, I said that Hulk is the hardest one among the superheroes. In the face of misfortune, father and son rebellion, drifting away, and constantly fleeing, not only have to beware of encirclement and suppression from the military, but also have to face the pain that stems from their own mutations. Since the heart rate cannot exceed 200, it can't even "pop" with his girlfriend. Perhaps it was because that film was relatively unsuccessful, and there have been no independent films about Hulk since then. Fortunately, Marvel’s animation film field has left a window for this big guy. In 2009 and 10, two animations, "Hulk Wars" and "Star Hulk" were successively launched, which continued to tell the story of Bruce Banner. .
"Hulk Wars" is divided into two parts, namely "The Hulk vs. Wolverine" and "The Hulk vs. Thor". In the upper part, the "X Weapon Organization" sent the Sabre-toothed Tiger, Deadpool, Lady Death, and Red Omega to round up Hulk in order to bring Hulk back to him, and blamed Hulk for many of the damage caused by this. The government also assigned Wolverine to capture the Hulk, and Wolverine happened to be a fugitive experiment of Weapon X. As a result, Hulk, Wolverine, and the "Weapon X Organization" were caught in a chaotic situation like a mantis catching a cicada or oriole.
In the film, a considerable amount of time is spent interspersing Wolverine's experience of being transformed and successfully escaped in the "X Weapon Organization" laboratory. With this layer of preparation, after Wolverine got out of trouble again this time, he also sympathized with Bruce Banner, and worried that if Hulk was transformed, it would inevitably harm thousands of innocent people, so he decided to take Bruce with him. Run away. On the way, there was another encirclement from the Sabre-Toothed Tiger and other four people, and Wolverine had to provoke Bruce to transform into Hulk in a hurry. As soon as the big man came out, where the Sabre-Toothed Tiger and others were his opponents, even the experimental base of the "X Weapon Organization" was reduced to ruins. The two who had escaped from birth regrouped in the icy and snowy valley...
A premise needs to be mentioned here. The setting of Bruce Banner in this film is that he has not yet learned how to control the transformation, so it is easy to be used by others. In the lower part of "The Hulk vs. Thor," Loki also coveted Hulk's tremendous destructive power. Since every winter, Odin, the king of Asgard, has to sleep for seven days. At this moment, the fairy palace will become very weak, facing repeated attacks from dark elves, demons, and giants, causing a large number of casualties. . Loki saw this opportunity and tied Bruce to Asgard, hoping to use the power of the Hulk to defeat Thor, the only god of thunder in the fairy palace, so as to achieve the purpose of usurping the throne.
Rocky’s method of controlling Hulk is very interesting. He teamed up with Amora, the enchanting witch, to forcibly separate Hulk from Bruce Banner (note that it is not a separation of personality, but a physical separation), and then manipulate Hulk on a spiritual level. Attack the fairy palace. However, in the battle with Thor, Hulk got rid of Loki's spell after being furious and became an uncontrollable horror existence, almost demolishing most of the fairy palace. But Rocky killed Bruce in annoyance. As a result, Hulk could no longer return to his body, and the whole Asgard was at stake. Therefore, Thor and Loki had to ask for the help of the goddess of death, Hela, to restore Bruce and then merge with Hulk, and the fairy palace finally avoided a catastrophe. Interestingly, the film maintains the setting in the Marvel comics universe, and Hela's identity is Rocky's daughter, not Thor's sister in the movie universe. In the end, Hela, who freed Bruce's soul, needed a life for another, and Loki became the hapless one, and was robbed of the soul by his daughter.
There are two places in "War of the Hulk" that are more fascinating. One is the battle between Hulk and Wolverine. As we all know, because the copyright of "X-Men" is in the hands of Fox, the scene of X-Men's integration into the Marvel Cinematic Universe that fans have been waiting for has always been difficult to achieve. In recent years, Disney has been trying to acquire Foss, which was close to completion, but recently it was reported that Comcast had been crossed. The result still has to wait and see for some time. If you want to see the live-action version of Hulk vs. Wolverine, I’m afraid it’s still Far away; the other is the separation of Hulk and Bruce Banner. In the "Avengers 3" screened a few days ago, Bruce's dilemma of "calling" not to come to Hulk has caused various bricklayers and audiences to start their minds. Perhaps the situation in this film is also a reasonable explanation. Dr. Banner's body is resisting Thanos on Earth, while Hulk's body is performing other actions in another part of the universe. What is going on, I believe it will be revealed in "Avengers 4".
