The mirror is the door of death

This is a very unique world of images. The mirror once again shows its unique charm. Putting on rubber gloves, Ofi walked through a mirror that looked like mercury, and came to the underworld to stand trial. There is no surreal spectacle in this world, it is just a ruined wall destroyed by war. Those judges are obviously the most common officials in the world, in suits and leather shoes, with serious expressions. Is this the place where we accept the final judgment?

The interesting scene is that of Orphee led by Otis to the courthouse. The two characters, one behind the other, seem not to be in the same picture. Offi walked hard, as if groping in the turbulence of time and space, unable to find an exit. And the boy with the glass on his back, the old woman pushing the trolley.

The god of death is a beautiful princess, and two men on motorcycles are her attendants, whizzing by, death comes. Offi followed them to a strange house. The mirror appeared for the first time, and Death took the poet through the mirror and walked to another world.

Ofi fell asleep on the mirror, and when he woke up, he went to a wilderness, met Otis, and returned home like this. Strangely, Offi could hear the voice on the radio, which was a poem by a dead poet.

Grim Reaper walked out of the mirror and stared at Orphee and Udith who were sleeping. how could be? Death actually fell in love with Ofi. In jealousy, she ordered the motorcycle messenger to hit Judith to death.

Attracted by the mysterious sound on the radio, Offi ignored his wife. This beautiful verse is exactly the trap of death. Death takes Judith away, and Offi walks into the mirror to rescue his wife. Death also pays for his sins.

Strangely, when he was on trial, Orphee actually fell in love with Death, and Otis also confided in Udith's heartfelt love.

Finally, Offi died and went to hell again. Reaper ordered his men to kill Offi, so that he could return to the world and his wife.

There is a detail. When Orphee and Otis entered the mirror, the postman was delivering the letter. When Offi and his wife returned to the world, the letter fell in the mailbox. In other words, in the world, the period of time Offi left did not exist.

What exactly does the director want to express? Will love in the world finally win over death? Otis led Orphee back to the place where he entered the mirror, and returned to the world. For the first time, Offi hugged his wife who was lying on the bed and discussed their upcoming child. Happiness, complete happiness!

Maybe all this is just a nightmare. Although Grim Reaper and Otis live in another world, they still long for human love. But they failed after all and were escorted back to the swamp by messengers.

Legend has eternal life, how to understand it is your freedom. The director gave him a certain understanding, which is about dreams.

It seems to understand why Kirico put the rubber gloves and the Roman head together. Metaphor of the surreal spiritual world. Unexplainable but deeply trapped dreams.

The graphic design of the title is very characteristic, why highlight the dots of the connecting lines, like small nails, decomposing the seemingly complete human body or the world. Is it a visual expression of structuralism? Still don't understand much.
