There is so much helplessness in the world

I think after watching the movie, many people will say that the United Nations is just a decoration or that it is nothing but dry food, but I want to say that in many cases the situation is not as simple as we thought. It is impossible to completely deny the efforts and dedication of the United Nations. This would be unfair to any peacekeepers who sacrificed to maintain world peace. Don't rush to spray others, think about what the peacekeepers are doing when they sacrifice their lives for peace! The negative performance and inaction of the United Nations in the Rwanda massacre is indeed outrageous, but the United Nations has done something in some events in history. After the movie, the French peacekeepers came to the school to pick up the white people and leave. However, if you take the Tutsi into the car, no one will be able to leave. It can only be said that in many cases individuals and even organizations are powerless. I don't know much about the hatred of Tutsi and Hutu in Rwanda; just like love, there are many hatreds in the world that cannot be explained. As Father Christopher said, the believers are only taught to go to the Mass and go home after eating the bread. It is believed that many Hutu children or Tutsi children have been taught to hate each other since they were young. The good news is that there will always be people like Father Christopher walking with love under any circumstances. But he also recognized Joe’s answer to Maria’s question of why he left: I’m afraid to death.

Shooting Dogs quotes

  • Christopher: I'll see to that after Mass.

    Joe Connor: Mass?

Christopher: I'm a priest in a Catholic country, Joe. This is what I do.

Joe Connor: Yeah, sure. But do you think it is the best time for that?

Christopher: In times of stress, people need to commune with God.

Joe Connor: I think maybe they'd prefer some food, water, a spot of reassurance.

Christopher: Well, come to Mass-get all three on the same ticket.

  • Marie: Does God love everyone? Does he even love those men on the road outside?

Christopher: God doesn't always like everything we do. That's our choice. But he loves all his children.
