My View on Apollo 13

Many years later, I re-watched this film and still felt good. But besides being good-looking, I still have some rational thinking, write it down, and self-motivate.

1. Before doing anything, there will be some signs, good and bad. If you are too conceited or want to succeed too much, you will turn a blind eye to these signs, reduce your vigilance, and lose the opportunity to analyze the signs and pre-process.

2. Mutual trust between teams is very important. If you don't trust your teammate, then shut him out before you start, but once you become a teammate, you must trust 100%.

3. When there is an emergency, you must calm down and don't panic. Once you get out of your position, you will be ruined. Quickly sort out the clues from the inexhaustibles, judge various possibilities, and take the largest possibility as the starting point. But this does not mean that it is necessary to proceed according to a possibility, to constantly observe new changes in the processing process, and adjust the processing plan and focus according to the changes in the situation.

4. Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to give up the pursuit of a set goal, because there are too many eyes on your success or failure, there are too many reasons for you to prove your ability, but remember that reason should be the first. Temporary giving up does not mean permanent loss. "Stop rest and start again" may generate greater energy. I remember that the scientist with glasses, a small man and a bald head decisively advised the astronauts to close the battery and oxygen valve and end the mission to the moon. He was cautious and weighed again and again. He took too much responsibility because He knew that only in this way could the astronauts have hope of surviving.

5. Any success comes with risks. When risks come, don't be nervous, don't back down, solve problems methodically, and turn disadvantages into advantages. 6. Remember to never give up life. Remember to be grateful for life when you are alive.

7. At any time, anyone can become a substitute, but the substitute needs to be more self-respectful, because once selected, it means that without you, the task may not be completed.

8. A big task is a large-scale operation, and all individuals should actively participate, but all individuals should abandon personal heroism, remember to do their own links, do a good job with other links, and don't try to become the dominant one.

9. The most touching sentence was what the handsome and cool commander said: we are not losing the crew. This is a true team leader. It is not enough to be courageous and intent. The important thing is to have love in your heart, and the love and determination of "one cannot be less".

Apollo 13 quotes

  • Jim Lovell: Houston, uh, we... we sure could use the re-entry procedure up here. When can we expect that?

William 'Bill' Pogue, CAPCOM: Uh, that's coming real soon, Aquarius.

Jim Lovell: Uh, Houston, we... we... we just can't just throw this together at the last minute. So here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna get the procedure up to us, whatever it is, and we're gonna go over it step by step so that there's no foul-ups. I don't have to tell you we're all a little tired up here. The world's getting awfully big in the window.

  • Deke Slayton: Jim, we're gonna get that power-up procedure to you. We're gonna get it as soon as we possibly can. Ken Mattingly's in the simulator right now.

Jim Lovell: [hopeful] Ken's working on it?
