After watching "Cold Memorial", I read other people's comments by the way. Almost all mentioned the issue of class differences, the hypocrisy of the rich, the rudeness and coldness of the poor, and so on. But I think these are not the root causes of the problem.
After reading Alfred Alder's individual psychology, I finally got out of the misunderstanding of more than two decades. For a long time, I believe that the problem in a country like China is class and the polarization between the rich and the poor. Perhaps our long-term education has been about class nature. From ancient times to the present, we have always attributed problems to class. But what is class? In fact, various explanations should return to "what is a person?" and "why are people different from each other".
Individual differences make it impossible for human society to never have differences, and differences will produce classes. It is impossible to abolish classes. Political parties that exalt classes have never succeeded. This is just an empty slogan to deceive fools. Eliminating classes will produce more corruption and more contradictions. Differences between people should be tolerated and respected, and collective differences between people, that is, class differences, should be minimized rather than eliminated.
Going back to the movie "Cold Memorial", why did the two women kill the owner's family? Is it a contradiction between the poor and the rich? I don't think it is all. I think these so-called contradictions are just triggering and exacerbating. It would be far-fetched to consider class contradictions as the main reason for the motive of killing people. For example, Sophie was not treated too badly, and Jane's hatred of the rich family came from her failure to apply for a model that year, which is very far-fetched.
Starting from individual psychology, I tried to analyze the reasons for the dilemma of inferiority and narcissism. Low self-esteem and extreme narcissism-people are unwilling to face the problems of their own life, unwilling to bear their own responsibilities, and thus feel that the world has treated themselves badly, the responsibility lies with others, and others are hell, and they are the victims of grievances. This makes people only see the evil of others (such as the selfish hypocrisy of the rich, etc.), but not the good of others (such as others' tolerance, praise, and willingness to help).
Sophie, her biggest problem is dyslexia, and she is unwilling to face this problem, treating her own flaws as an enemy. So any dyslexia that touches her is her enemy. She never thought of overcoming (not insurmountable), but to avoid, lie, or even threaten people who know the truth at all costs (reminiscent of "Reader", in order to prevent her lover and unit from knowing her shortcomings, she chose Disappeared and later became a member of the Nazis). Alferd Alber said that those who overcome their shortcomings tend to be more successful than ordinary people, such as the deaf Beethoven. People who evade their own problems are most likely to commit crimes. From this we can see that one's will can be seen from one's attitude and actions toward one's own defects.
Another murderer, Jane, her hatred comes from her life of failure. First, she was abandoned and her love failed. I feel that love failed. She herself is not without responsibility (character problems, and pregnancy if she did not protect herself). Second, she did not take good care of her daughter, and her daughter was burned to death (or scalded to death), which may have been accidental, but as a mother, she was not completely blameless. However, she is unwilling to admit and face that she killed the child, so she uses a cynical appearance to cover up her inner sadness and self-blame, and even deliberately arouses the resentment and anger of others, and psychologically obtains the similar masochistic pleasure of "others treat me badly". . She portrayed herself as a savior who exposes hypocrisy. She was unwilling to admit her mistakes, so she induced more people to commit crimes, and she had no good end. The logic of the offender is illogical to others, but if it starts from the offender itself, there is logic. This kind of logic cannot be separated from the individual and analyzed with the so-called "common sense" (common sense).
The inferior-superior paradox (inferior-superior paradox) is not a problem specific to a certain group of people, but a universal feature of human beings, or "human nature", but the so-called "vulnerable groups" encounter more conflicts , It is easier to inspire irreversible destruction. We make fun of the hypocrisy of the middle class, but to a certain extent, hypocrisy effectively protects people from excessive behavior. Everyone has selfishness. It is not because of the middle class. The rich are particularly selfish. Like Jane and Sophie, they are also selfish. Everyone wants to stay in their own safety circle.
