The second time I saw it was in 2005, Jinlong and X Yefu.
For more than two decades, too much has happened to myself and the world, and I ignored at least 70% of the information the first time I watched it, but I always thought it was one of the best war movies I have ever watched, although the battle scenes Really false.
Serpentine tactical formation and high-altitude jumping have always been my favorites when I was playing war games when I was a child, but I couldn't change it after playing DF3.
There are professional soldiers, special forces, financial oligarchs, nobles, mafia, dictators, revolutionary exporters (Cuba, reminiscent of Guevara), black movement leaders, priests, loyal women, boarding school boys, cockroachers People (really rely on them to do big things)...and love (both the opposite sex and the same sex:), friendship, affection, business, politics, ideas, beliefs, colonial systems and independence movements...
In short, I like this kind of fight Sticker-style movies, which blur the background of the times and can occur in any era, reflecting the turbulent world, unchanging humanity and relationship, just like "The Adventures of Tintin", "Arctic Night" and "Rogue"...
Maybe This kind of subject matter gives me a sense of withdrawal from the sidelines, and a sense of security that is irrelevant to me.
There is also the joy of obtaining complex information and weaving them.
This film is good because it "takes money and fights". Regardless of justice and conscience. This saves a lot of chirping pen and ink. Mercenaries, that's how it should be. Raise the gun to kill the enemy, lay down the knife and eat the meat. The completion of the task and the reward are always important. Of course, life is the most important, just like the Huihe and Shatuo (to be tested) that put down the Anshi Rebellion, which is very cool.
At the beginning, I didn't forget Roger Moore (here he is a vase, not many scenes), and said that the reason for choosing him was "any plane can fly"-I'm afraid he was not so good in 007, right? After all, Concord appeared at the beginning.
British English is indeed a gentleman, and the adventurous spirit and discipline of the British are also admirable. No wonder they can conquer the third world.
In the end, all true gentlemen will complete the transformation of Barrett, and mercenaries who see profit and forget their righteousness are no exception, I believe.
imdb 6.6/10 (1,146 votes)-Maybe the young people who liked this movie didn't use the Internet very much.

Great acting,good action,nice theme song., 27 March 2003
Author: AGWatt from Glasgow,Scotland
When seeing this film for the first time, at about 12yrs old its still as enjoyable 20yrs later.Apart from the fighting, an out-numbered and stranded mercenary unit, the acting of some of the greats really adds to the whole package. The screen presence of Richard Burton (Faulkner) especially when talking to Stewart Grainger (Matheson) is particular special. The plot is simple enough with a nice twist, the action is well done with the pace quickening nicely. Its still topical enough to be enjoyed today, Africa still has its problems and money and business call the shots.Richard Harris, Roger Moore and Hardy Kruger are all excellent and supported well by the rest of the cast, and a theme song sung by the brilliant Joan Armatrading.Although now 25yrs old its still a great film probably due to the above great actors.See it and dont let the Simbas get you!!
There is also Wild Geese II (1985).
