If you regard this film as a pure inspirational film, then the story it tells is quite simple, even a bit clichéd. When we see the fallen girl at the beginning, we can guess that the ending must be that this girl has regained herself.
However, the film did not deal with this simple cliche inspirational story very well. The story turned abruptly. The logic of the good and the bad was similar to a children's cartoon. It relied on sex scenes to attract attention. In short, it is an inspirational film that can only be given to Samsung.
But in the end I gave four stars, not for the clichéd inspiration, only for the rebellious and fatherly deja vu.
In the film, Hope became an out-and-out bad girl due to his poor mental state after being frustrated, taking drugs and stealing, and she was not as heroic as she was when she won the bronze medal. The father is always good-tempered, prepares breakfast for his daughter, and does everything possible to help her out of the predicament. All this seemed to be a humiliation in the eyes of her daughter and an obstacle to her happy life. She fought with vicious language, hurting her father's heart, and even violently smashed the cup she made for her father when she was a child. A cup regarded as a treasure. And this didn't seem to interrupt his father's love, he still worked hard, hoping to pull his daughter from the abyss of degeneration back to reality.
When I saw Hope smash the cup severely in the film, I really couldn't contain my tears. I have this rebellion before, everything is so alike. I also put the most hurtful words on my father who raised me alone, and I also tore up the birthday gift I gave him when I was a child. And he is like the father in the film, tolerating my willfulness, opening his arms and ready to embrace the prodigal son back to me.
When the cup shattered and the confetti fell, the two fathers had the same helplessness and sadness in their eyes, and the daughter who slammed the door must have endless guilt in addition to the initial resentment. But because of stubbornness and the so-called face, the two daughters never said a "sorry" from the beginning to the end.
After all, the world treats loved ones kindly. Hope slowly discovered the meaning of his life in his father's white lie and began to train for Maggie wholeheartedly. Even if Maggie, who finally won the gold medal, turned her back for a higher honor, she did not fall back into the dark abyss of despair, because she has a boyfriend who truly loves her, and a group of them will never be able to get a medal. The little athlete who is willing to follow her, and a father who loves her deeply.
Although the ending of the film is very vulgar, I like it a lot. Hope made a new cup for her father, and it still says "DAD". She looked at the cup and father with happiness. They will not be calm in the rest of the day. The hot-tempered Hope will say something "bad" to his father from time to time, and he will laugh at the goldfish or not know his father, but what does it matter? Everything has returned to the right track, the small waves are no longer enough to tear the relationship between them, and the father no longer has to worry about what outrage his beloved daughter will do every day.
Therefore, the director may not have planned to make this film into an inspirational film at the beginning, he just wants to convey the deep fatherly love through the film. What brought Hopra back to reality was not the belief in gymnastics and the desire for gold medals, but the silent support and encouragement of his father behind him. This is not inspiration, but family affection.

——Perhaps this is a second-rate inspirational film, or maybe it's just that I will move my experience mechanically to touch myself, but it does touch the softest part of my heart.
Dad, I love you!
