At the beginning, I want to make it clear that there are few Sherlock Holmes related movies I have watched. Apart from this Secret History of Sherlock Holmes, there is only Sherlock, the detective who has seen it as a passerby. As for the JB version of Sherlock Holmes and the basic interpretation of American TV series, I don't know much about it.
When listening to the soundtrack of Shenxia 201, McGoo told Mofat that he liked the movie The Secret History of Sherlock Holmes very much, and I found this movie at station b at noon.
I watched this film for the first time on January 17, and I have watched it 4 times in a week.
The film is good-looking, it is really good-looking.
In the first few minutes of the film, Watson’s narration was about a 50-year past that he wanted to keep away from others. Then the scene switched to London in 1887, and Holmes and Watson returned to Baker Street to solve the case. Some information about the lives of the two: there are Holmes' ridicule about Watson's beautification of himself, the violin, and cocaine addiction (PS: This version of the violin is better than Shenxia's); and Watson's understanding and concern for Holmes.
Billy Wilder advances the storyline very well, taking the previous things in one stroke, and then the camera turns
There are so many slots in this scene that I can't vomit, but there is no discomfort in a scene that is obviously very problematic. It is estimated that after Watson's constant persuasion, Holmes went to see the Swan Lake ballet performance.
In the whole high-energy part of ballet, 80% of the laughter in the play was concentrated in the twenty minutes. Whether it was a big money begging for a child or the parts that Watson was later considered gay, I always laughed out after rewatching it a few times. In addition, there is a particularly good part of this passage. The person who translator for Sherlock Holmes has a lot of Russian babble in English, whether it’s the lady (Мадан) or what they said during a toast.
My scumbag, my wife said it is probably for health. Russian is Для здоровья. There are rumors that the crazy hairy people in Russia during the Prohibition period actually drank alcohol-containing antifreeze to relieve their boredom. Drinking a red pepper here is not surprising.
The translation of the subtitles group of the whole movie is very down-to-earth, whether it is the scalper ticket in front or the translation of the name, it is enough to make me give my knees.
Watson knew that after being tricked by Holmes, he returned to Baker Street angrily. The two began a series of funny conversations, and Watson finally patted his chest on the matter of getting involved and said that he could find a woman from three continents to testify to him. Then Watson asked back, "Can you, Homels?"
The next shot gave Holmes a close-up of his expression, and his expression was as sad as the music from the back. There is a word presumptuous in their conversation, which means self-righteous, presumptuous, and presumptuous. This can be regarded as a manifestation of the director's sexuality towards Holmes. Is he the one, or did he once have unpleasant memories related to women?
Watson then turned on the famous detective Watson's gossip mode. When the heroine pretended to be overwhelmed by Mrs. Varaton and appeared on Baker Street, anyone who watched the film attentively would find that the coachman who brought the heroine did not ask anything but let him in 221B. The mysterious man at the door got into the car. After that, the groom also kept watching not far from the door.
After prying the window into the Ashton store, the letter was replaced after the old woman who was feeding the Canary left, and this was obviously McGe's idea. The letter had a very local meaning, and I only noticed it after the second brush.
The above date is April 18, 1888. After checking Baidu, Holmes detected the Bohemia scandal in March 1888.
Many people say that the film is weak in reasoning. Indeed, the heroine's secret signal is too open and honest, and the so-called lake monster is a submarine with a blindfold.
But considering the age of the film, the steam engine has just gained widespread popularity, and the submarine, which is a military secret, will not be as widely known as it is now. The first time the hostess crypted the signal and was not seen by Fuhua and the second time, we used to say that we were driving bees. We were always in the perspective of an outsider, so we could see it clearly, and Holmes was the player in the game and he didn’t doubt it at the beginning. The heroine's identity is true or false. Of course, I believe that if he wants to be really suspicious, he would have discovered something about it.
Both the director and screenwriter are Billy Wilder, and the whole story is basically clear. Almost all the later results can be found in the front, doubts about the heroine's identity, the missing dwarf, and Swan Lake. A really good story can tell you the ending in the first thirty minutes, but you realize at the end of the film that you have already seen the ending.
After the heroine was identified, she casually mentioned to Holmes about going to Japan, which also laid the groundwork for her ending.
Quoting a line from God Xia
The woman, the woman
That woman, special woman
The heroine was used by Mrs. Ashton in spying on intelligence in Japan. Sherlock Holmes had a photo of the heroine on her pocket watch.
Everything formed a front-to-back correspondence, and grief came to my heart suddenly.
The heroine finally looked at Holmes' complicated eyes.
Amazing, really amazing.
The foreshadowing has already been laid, the beautiful Scottish scenery in the film, the performance of the actors, and the subtitles are translated by the subtitles. Four stars are enough for this film.
I do like Sherlock Holmes, who Billy Wilder created. He has flesh and blood, joy and sorrow.
He would laugh and ridicule Watson saying that others would envy his romantic history, would quarrel with his brother, would be venomous with the landlord's wife, and would be sad when he learned that the heroine had died.
He and Watson had a special relationship. The two of them were born to death, and the general friendship could not be summed up.
He would also look at the photos in his pocket watch, recalling those sad but good times.
But he will soon regain his state, investigating various cases with Watson, the back view of the two fighting together is what we know and love.
