The war movie I just watched, "Indianapolis" starring Cage, has poor special effects, but this movie "Hacksaw Ridge" is also adapted from real history, showing the cruelty of war, more than 1,000 numbers. People hung up for more than 300 when they sank, and then drifted in the ocean for 5 days hopelessly. Most people made a shark meal, bloody and cruel, and in the end only more than 300 died. The captain is still beautified in the film, acting as if the Indian was sunk as a tragic fate. But in terms of the facts, he didn't make a zigzag sailing to evade the submarine. It was really a big mistake. This is also a typical true portrayal of "not afraid of ten thousand and be afraid of accidents"!
It is also a violation of military discipline. The seaplane pilot is worthy of admiration. Although he defies the orders of his superiors to risk landing and rescue the victims, he will naturally be blamed if something happens. Soldiers regard obedience to orders as their bounden duty, but some things, such as respect and attention to life, are universal values and bottom lines, and bureaucratic rules can be regarded as shit.
