Floral skirt and strong mother

At the end of the ball, Margaret wore a pink petal chiffon skirt with purple satin silk scarf, which is truly stunning and beautiful. The audience's eyes are probably the same as her husband's, living tightly on this beautiful color and body.
Mrs. Spalding is undoubtedly a strong woman, a strong mother, a strong person, and a kind person.
The plot of the communion receiving the sacrament at the end is really magical, letting the dead Sheriff, Mr. Spalding, sit with the black boy Wilce. This is to show that God's grace makes all boundaries disappear, all hatreds are resolved, and all souls unite into one. How beautiful.

Places in the Heart quotes

  • Frank: My name's Frank. My pa was killed.

Moze: I heard about it. I'm sure sorry.

Frank: He was shot. It was a nigger killed him.

  • Albert Denby: Now then, Mrs. Spalding... in spite of the fact that I have great doubts about... this misguided attempt of yours to hold on to this place... as a Christian and deacon of the church, it's my beholden duty to... reach out the hand of charity to a human being in need. What if my brother-in-law was to move in here and rent a room from you?

    Edna Spalding: Move in here?
