Who has guarded whose dream?

By the way... this is the first time I write a drama review. This American drama impressed me very deeply, so I was thinking about writing something indiscriminately. After all, it’s not an academic article and it’s not enough for textual research. So my friends pat it. If there is something inappropriate, you can also bring it up. Let’s discuss it together~ After all, this is a very deep and obscure work~ The following text, right? Oh~

It

happened to be on Christmas Eve that I finished watching this ballet-themed work with realism and dark tones. When I think about it, this is the first work that gave me the irresistible feeling of writing a review after watching it.

The body of flesh and blood, the title is really in place, ballet is the ultimate beauty spawned by such a perverted cruelty. Not to mention the disgusting and disgusting inside story of the entire American drama incest, self-destruction, etc. There are too many metaphors, too much struggle, too much heartbreaking in this drama, but it is these that make us The situation of nausea from time to time constitutes a true story, which is really confusing.

What impressed me the most was actually Romeo, the "lunatic". At the beginning of the whole show, he wears a shabby winter hat, a ragged scarf, an outdated windbreaker, and travel shoes that may not fit well. All the attire points to a desolate tramp, but we will It was discovered that these appearances could not conceal the exceptional sobriety displayed by this man who was regarded as a lunatic. All the gloomy elements on his body belong to this dark work, but his words are the rare words of wisdom in the whole work, and the rare warm light.

The heroine Claire is unique and outstanding, because she has always kept a dream in her heart, the dream of a flannel bunny that everyone loves. After all, the protagonist halo, the audience can easily accept and predict Claire’s success in the whole show, but on the way to transformation, deep in her heart, the evil consequences caused by the incest of the brother and sister brought her. The influence of the lingering has been lingering, avoiding, embracing, infinite struggle, and infinite pain. Her feelings for her brother Bryan are complicated, and until the end of the play, Claire, who is swaying freely on the stage, can't be said to be completely free from the bondage and control brought to her by the emotions of her brothers and sisters. However, only Romeo allowed her to face it bravely. When everyone else was frantically trying to intimidate and influence Claire's life, Romeo, a ridiculous "lunatic", became the guardian and prophet of Claire's dream.

I don't know why Romeo was so downhearted, but I think that in his gloomy life, philosophy and literature have probably always been his peers. Everyone laughed at Romeo's stupid stupidity, but he was the one who saw it most thoroughly. I took a few things that I was more impressed to analyze~
1. Claire and Clementine: This stalk about the name has always belonged to Romeo throughout the show, and he likes to call others according to his own wishes. When Romeo first saw Claire, he knew that he called Claire Clementine. The word Clementine means "little citrus" in English. Among American folk songs, Clementine is also a symbol of a weak, beautiful and sad girl. These meanings are very consistent with Claire's initial performance, which is why Romeo guards her silently. Of course, Romeo also has many strange names, but the author reads too little... I can't infer their meaning... For example, Jim Jo who calls Bryan... So I also hope that those who understand it can discuss it together~
2. Middleman: The middleman, Romeo's self-recognition has always been the middleman who promotes the development of the storyline. And putting aside Romeo's prophecy, the character of Romeo itself is also a clue in the play. He appeared on the top of the building, looking down at what happened in the world under his feet, thinking and insight; he shuttled between the buildings, caring for Claire in secret, and guiding her transformation. At the same time, he was also the one who saved Mia.
3. Blood is in the water, Behold the Dragon: Blood is in the water This sentence first appeared in the sentence Romeo shouted after Mia suicide in the sixth episode. This sentence can be said to be predicted by Romeo. A huge turning point in the development of the story. The literal translation of this sentence means "blood in the water", which refers to the tragic phenomenon of Mia's suicide, but this sentence appeared in Romeo's mouth is definitely not a simple description, it can be inferred from the modality of his yelling along the street. Sure enough, we found a response in the seventh episode that followed. Romeo disappeared a long time after the suicide incident, but at this moment, he returned to the door of the apartment, pestered Claire and tried to tell her: "This is very important, super Important, more important than before, more important than everything before, everything! This is the final judgment, Clementine, it will happen soon! But don’t be discouraged, the book says that because of you, they will win and you will break the bondage. Then, then you can liberate yourself and defeat the pigeons, and then ascend, flying through the sea of blood and the sky full of visions, we only wait for you, we wait for you, we wait for you! Wait for you! At first glance, the unthinkable madness, but after watching the whole show, when I think about it, the passage here is a hint of light like breaking a prison. Pay attention to the Oceans of blood and what we call Blood is in the water. Suddenly, I think of the incestuous relationship that broke down in Claire's family. This means that, no matter what, Romeo is the first to understand that his brother Bryan is the person who brought Claire endless darkness and pain, so Romeo tried to use the pictures and words in the adaptation of the book "Flannel Bunny" to tell Claire, she is about to break the shackles and be strong and conquer. At the same time, the image of "evil dragon" is gradually brought out here.
4. "Flannel Bunny": This is another secret clue in the play and the most mysterious existence in the whole play. The book itself tells a story about a stuffed bunny toy because it was loved by people, and despite so many hardships, it became true because of being deeply loved. This book is Claire's love, accompanied her growth, and at the same time the source of her dreams. It was this book, after Romeo's re-creation, that directly induced Claire's emotional and human explosion. This book was originally a story book owned by Claire since she was a child, but in the seventh episode, during the dispute between Romeo and Claire, Romeo, who has always been kind and lovely, shouted at Claire: "It's not your book!" Why? ? Because in Romeo’s view, this book is not just a pure paper book, but also a portrayal of Claire’s life. Coupled with Romeo’s insight into world events, Claire’s connection with this book is no longer “Claire’s The simple affiliation of "Book" is a deeper connotation of Claire's role and destiny in this book. This is a very unbelievable thing when I think about it. We can see at the beginning of the eighth episode that Claire finally clarified the intention of the adaptation of the book Romeo gave herself, and the audience can finally correspond to the image in the painting and the characters in the play. Why does Romeo know so much? Things are no longer important, but he is a "lunatic" by no means simple, to a certain extent, he is a sober person.

5. The evil dragon and the hero: The discussion on this issue is actually very complicated. The author has checked some information, but it is still difficult to make a judgment. First of all, I want to talk about a Burmese fable. Although I don’t know whether the concepts in this play are borrowed from this fable, I think there are similarities between them, so let’s analyze it~ There is such a legend in Burma: "There is an evil dragon who asks the village to sacrifice a virgin every year. Every year there is a young hero in this village who goes to fight the dragon, but no one survives. When another hero sets out, someone quietly follows. The dragon's den is covered with gold and silver treasures. , The hero stabs the dragon to death with a sword, then sits on the corpse, watching the twinkling jewels, slowly growing scales, tails and tentacles, and finally turning into a dragon." This is a story that makes people feel horrified. . Then we look at the imagery in "Bone Body". The picture in the play shows that the girl is bound by the evil dragon. The identity of this girl needs to be discussed. Although Claire said that the girl’s name is Mia and Romeo saved her, it does not mean that it must be Claire’s in the play. Roommate-the ballerina who attempted suicide. However, this is the author's own little thought, which is not necessarily correct. The identity of this girl may well hide Claire's attributes, as can be seen from the action of pulling the girl's ponytail. Romeo was the one who rescued the girl, and Claire decided that Romeo was the hero. Indeed, Romeo rescued Mia who tried to commit suicide. But looking at the whole show, Romeo actually rescued Claire. It seems that Romeo is the hero who makes people cheer. However, if there is no plot in which Romeo kills Bryan, we can all be happy. I have always liked the role of Romeo very much. From beginning to end, I paid him the most attention, but when the murder happened, I also had to be cold-hearted. Romeo takes a deeper look. Here is another sentence from Nietzsche: "The brave killed the dragon and then turned into the dragon. When you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares at you." I don't know if this is the case in the original text. I am not. Understand Nietzsche's philosophy, but I think this sentence and this drama have the same profound meaning. After Romeo killed Bryan, he carved Bryan's strange tattoo on his chest with a murder weapon, and then took Bryan's property-the military backpack, and left the scene of the crime. Whether Romeo really became a dragon, we don't know, but this scene is enough to make people sweat. I would rather believe that Romeo is a detached person, not He will degenerate into an "evil dragon" because of this, but what does Romeo's act of engraving a tattoo mean? This is where I can't figure it out.

Who guards whose dream? This is the subject of my lengthy drama review. Now there is a clear answer. In such a dark and gloomy drama, the existence of warmth and light is the existence of Romeo. He lives in a dream, but he is sober in the world. This is a strange lunatic, this An unspoken guardian, he guarded Claire's dreams as well as his own dreams. At the same time, we must not forget that Claire also guarded Romeo’s dreams. In Romeo’s unrealistic but accurate predictions, the appearance of the "little orange" made Romeo’s thinking creation. She is the perfect heroine in Romeo's mind.
