I only recently discovered Stephen Chow's charm and watched his movies for three days in a row. What I admire most is his conspicuous comedy label. People want to coax, don't like heavy truth, if you can hide the truth of life under the cloak of comedy and easily feed it to the audience, then you will be the most powerful doctor and teacher. Comedy is the same coat, martial arts, love, action, cooking and other elements are different tastes, people can't stop. It's a pity that in "God of Cookery", he failed. I don't want to continue watching his movies tomorrow.
The male protagonist is poor, the female protagonist who represents the truth, the good and the beautiful, the martial arts elements of the Shaolin Temple, the chef's calamity... These plots all appear in big talk and kung fu, and they are out of the way.
But think about it, kung fu actually has very similar routines, and actually kung fu came out later. Is it unfair that my praise for kung fu is not fair?
It's really unfair. I am looking at it from the perspective of the 21st century. Kungfu uses martial arts to say that there are people outside the mountains and there are people outside the mountains. In the current era of unobstructed information on the Internet, this kind of humility and vision is something we need to re-emphasize. But now that gourmet food is very popular, and China on the tip of the tongue has been broadcast in the third season, it is too silly to have the slogan that everyone is a God of Cookery only. The culinary element failed. Then let's look at the love element, the star girl is also the part that attracts me very much. But Karen Mok here is more like a functional character, a female protagonist who falls in love with the male protagonist in order to promote the development of the storyline. Master Xing, who has always been good at remembering killing, did not arrange good memories for her. The beautiful reversal at the end is not amazing at all... The most bland ending... The love element also failed. So some people say that this movie is a nonsensical funny movie, just be funny. It's a pity that I have a high laugh and never laughed at all... So is this movie a complete failure? Neither.
I think what makes this movie better is a satire. This is rare, the story that Star Lord does not start with Diaosi's slow counter-attack. He became the God of Cookery from the very beginning, possessing power, playing with others, disdainful of everything, and very happy. Power is such a good thing. Money is also a kind of power, so find ways to get other people's money into your own pocket. What a stinking approach to capitalism. It is a pity that power has no eyes, there are no permanent friends, only permanent interests. Those who coveted the interests of the God of Cookery couldn't wait to replace the previous one. In an instant, the God of Cookery, who had been brilliant in the last second, returned to his original form and turned into a diaosi beggar. And the role of Lord Xing has never been a good person. By using the simple temple street stall owner and his own business experience, he made a comeback and regained his capital and power again. But this process has not changed his selfish nature at all, which can be seen from his attitude towards Sister Turkey. When it is useful, it is a bowl of rice that provides charcoal in the snow, and when it is useless, it is a trouble that can be avoided. When Sister Turkey saw that there was danger, her first reaction was to protect him, and his first reaction was to run away. I still remember holding that piece of paper, which is really hypocritical. The real story actually ends here. Capital is the story of arms but thighs. The truck that suddenly drove out from behind, the adventure at the Shaolin Temple, and the God of Cooking God of Avalokitesvara returning to his place are just like the ending of Pu Songling's "Promoting Weaving", but it is just a reflection of the people's good wishes. What's really happened is that people can't figure out a way to fight capital. Sister Turkey represents truth, goodness and beauty, and awakens the conscience of the male protagonist through sacrifice. Although the bacon rice made by the male protagonist moved the judges, it still cannot change the status quo of being threatened by reality. Still a victory for capital. At this point, there is really no way to have a happy ending. Had to ask the fairy. Satisfy everyone's simple and simple wishes. It's a decent comedy. The happy ending is ironic enough.
Of course, the action element is still very successful. The two pk cooking and commenting there, you can see the current gourmet fan, video production is still useful and imitating. It shows how successful it is and how useful it is.
Writing this, I seem to be adding one star to God of Cookery. All right.
