life that stops. . .

I don't know why I wake up early in the morning and want to write something for a movie like this. . . After watching it for the second time in silence by myself two days ago, some things have been left in my mind. In order not to worry about it, I decided to write it down. .
To be honest, if it weren't for the beautiful and sad male lead, the possibility of me watching this movie is almost zero. . . Can't blame me. . . Just spending over an hour watching someone slowly die is not a pleasing thing to me. . .
When we are young, the last thing we want to think about is death. . . Far and near, bright and dark. . . I don't want to face it on weekdays, but I am tempted by it from time to time and reach out to touch it. . . It's fine if you can't touch it, but if you touch it a little, its cold melancholy wets your fingers. . . A sense of fate that cannot be shaken has swept away the interest in life. . .
Therefore, the director is still kind, letting the whole film flow quietly, as if he is careful not to touch the sensitive string of the viewer. . . There is no strong dramatic conflict, just a subtle psychological change of a dying person. . .

Roman's world was originally very dazzling. . . A handsome high-end fashion photographer, who is faced with colorful clothes and beauties all day, standing at the forefront of urban life, and has a gentle and lovely boyfriend at home. . .
However, Roman's world was already in jeopardy. . . As his boyfriend said, he is afraid of loneliness and will change lovers one by one. . . He was withdrawn and indifferent, quarreling constantly with his sister, and used sharp words to expose each other's scars for no reason. . . However, as long as life goes on, and there are endless days ahead, problems that are unwilling to face can be downplayed. . .
But just when a person is in his prime, he is told that his days are numbered. . . The originally endless days were cut short in an instant. . . Unable to escape, Roman was dragged by an extremely cruel force and fell heavily from the cloud back to the ground. . .
Faced with death, people begin to really think. . . The love for the family, the love for the boyfriend, the memory of the sweet and innocent life as a child. . . When everything else is meaningless, the most important thing is so clearly and firmly placed in front of Roman. . . Modern life gives people too much cover. . . Looking around, hiding in Tibet, only to find out in the end that what I have been avoiding is true love and innocence. . .

In addition to these, what impressed me a lot was the process of Roman's slow death. . . The film begins with such a beautiful person, with clear eyes and a conscious look. . . However, death began to suck away the beautiful life little by little, and he just kept losing weight and pale, and the most unbearable thing was that the luster in his eyes gradually became cold. . . At the end, when Roman's bony body lies in the sunset by the sea, the scene has a heart-wrenching pain. . . Probably the sensitive string in my heart was touched. . . Seeing the invisible death take shape so dazzlingly at that moment, in addition to having to think about my ending, I think more about whether I can return to my original self like Roman before the ending. . .

There was still something to say, so don't say it anymore. . . This subject matter is really annoying. . .

Time to Leave quotes

  • [Romain's mother expresses her interest in Romain taking photographs of the family]

Sophie: Save you breath, Mom. We're not hip enough. He prefers actresses and models.

La mère: Don't say that. He just hasn't had time yet.

    Le père: Of course.

    Romain: No, she's right.

La mère: Why do you say that?

Romain: I don't want to photograph her kids.

    Le père: Romaine, stop.

    Sophie: Leave it, Dad.

Romain: And you know why? Because they sprang from you, and your ugly mug would be in the picture. It makes me want to puke.

    La mère: Romaine, stop it!

Romain: No wonder your man left. It's like you made the kids alone.

  • Le père: How are things with Sasha?

Romain: Not bad, not great. We'll probably break up soon.

    Le père: Shit. Why?

Romain: Like in all couples, routine kills desire.
