Those who can't fly over the sea are probably butterflies.

Excluding differences in political background and Eastern and Western cultural perspectives, I am still vulgar once. No heaviness and macro, no pattern.

"No woman can understand what a man needs better than a man."

Song Liling was the initiator, but if there were no deep hallucinations and fanatical expectations in her heart, how could Gao not see clearly.

Maybe Song Yanxi has been acting for too long and he has forgotten himself and thought that Gao loved him.

He never let the man explore his body. He doesn't want to expose, he's pretending.
At this time, he was full of vigilance, calculating with his whole body, and pretending everywhere.

When he was arrested, he stripped naked in the car so the man could see who he was. Was he sarcastic and cruel to Gao? I thought not. He is confronting and verifying.

From the moment the pregnancy was disguised until the moment he took off his clothes, I believe he was in love. Take the initiative to expose yourself, face the bloody truth and the unknown abyss, if you just don't love, you don't have to come here. If not, why is he so sad when he hears that the root of high love is his hallucinatory self.

Gao: You never had a sense of humor, did you? I just thought it was so ridiculous that I wasted...so much time...believing in a guy.

We have only seen Gao's 20 years being deceived and gullible, but Song's 20 years are all pretending. A lie that has been told for a long time will become the truth. How can a person who has been blurring gender for 20 years trying to become another person's self live a pure life.

Gao fits Aristotle's definition of a tragic character: not very kind, not very just, and he is doomed not because he did wrong, but because he made mistakes.

If the feelings have not been dry wood and fire, it is a trickle of water. By the time he saw Gao's truth, his alter ego was already shattered.

This man has never loved him, he loves himself so much, he loves hallucinations and expectations so much, just without him. So in the last scene on the plane, he must have been disheartened, his enthusiasm was extinguished, his lover was gone, and after devoting himself to the motherland, he only had

20 years left and waved his hand, and he got nothing.

There is no winner in this film, and I don't think Song is so evil. Gao lost to ideals and ego, while Song lost to fate and the enthusiasm of the times.

If the self that exists as our own cannot be controlled and recognized, what kind of face and identity should we treat the person we call love?

There are thousands of truths about love, but they are always only infinitely similar.
What do we love when we love? love yourself? Love the expectations and fantasies in your own eyes? Love true caterers? Love cheap disguise?

Reality never exists. For us, there is never truth other than what is created.

Actors act, we are not the actors on the stage.

I looked at Madam Butterfly, but I didn't know that I was Mr. Butterfly. I looked at Mr. Butterfly, but I didn't know that I was Mrs. Butterfly.

Song's promotion, Qu Yi caters to but is cold and dignified, all of them are the best heroines above Gao Xinmu. So this line is so delusional and deep, elegant and solemn.

The mournful lyrics are really beautiful:

there are beauties in the east, who knows how to be slender?
There are flag outfits for fine details, and dressing gowns for spacious ones.
Whoever is chasing, can go to death.
When young and small enter the school, Pingting resumes the etiquette.
And waiting for a long time to get married, the east bed is a barbarian.
Jie captive widow chastity, shame people do not know.
Have pity on me, be obedient, and mourn for me.
What day will you be waiting for, Fang Meng Fang has a good time.
Regrets the past, Fengyue does not know,
neither male nor female is confusing.

there is a version of orient
that I have of slender women
in cheongsams and kimonos.
who die for the love
of unwon thy foreign devils.
who are born and raised
to be perfect women.
who take weather punishment
we give them and spring back.
strengthened by love unconditionally.
its a vision become my life.
my mistake was simple and absolute

high is just a man . And a western man. I have seen many film critics say that Gao is to blame himself, representing the political metaphor that the West has always been superior to the East. They naively and arrogantly think that the East should be the weak subject to the West, just like master and slave. So he was impressed and bewildered by the female image created by Song.

Chinese women in the eyes of Western men should be submissive, humble, gentle, and submissive. But why aren't Western women in our eyes unrestrained, extroverted, enthusiastic, and selfish?

By nature, we are all afraid and fascinated by the unknown, aren't we? The more exciting, the more evasive, the more eager it is, the more taboo, the more fearful, the more eager it is. The more imprisoned, the more eager to be free to indulge. So, in this sense, we all have the potential to be butterflies, whether in the East or the West.

Gao's death was not without meaning at all.

He expressed it at the beginning: no, no, I mean...you made me understand the moving part of the story, to understand her death. That's... pure sacrifice! He doesn't deserve her, but she loves him. It's... very moving.

I just thought it was a pure admiration for love. Who abandoned who, who died for whom, how could he have thought so much. He admires only those who die for love.

So his end is not so much a kind of loneliness and desolation after a broken dream, but rather that he is completing his own understanding of love: he has had perfect love, he has lost his perfect lover, and he should wither.

This romantic to death man.

Maybe it wasn't him or his butterfly that was wrong, but the dream itself. Pure sacrifice, endless giving, does not exist and should not exist, because the opposite of selfless sacrifice is greed and plunder, and the essence of complete selflessness is nothing but self-deception.

The beauty of "Mrs. Butterfly" is after all the music, not the story itself.
