. Twenty-four years ago, my parents didn't know each other, let alone where I was. The
previous "A Chinese Ghost Story" was only shown on TV, and I didn't feel anything when I watched it as a child. I just think Xiaoqian is a beautiful girl, Ning Caichen is a scholar, and Yan Chixia is a very powerful Taoist priest. Completely ignorant of who the actor is, how good or bad he is, and what the connotation is.
Now I look at the film again, the charm of which can only be understood by my current experience and thoughts.
I don’t need to say more. This film is not only a ghost film, but also a film that reflects reality. I won't go into more description.
First of all, there are several reasons why this film is so profound to me.
Music, yes, the music is really good, and it is really wonderful to play with Chinese classical musical instruments. In fact, these three music by Tsui Hark are all classics, and he really admires the predecessor of Hong Kong's composition industry, Mr. Huang.
There is also the story itself, which is originally attractive, the beautiful female ghost and the poor scholar, as well as the magic fight between them.
Then there is the opposite clothing style. Xiaoqian's clothes inside really fit the image of a female ghost. The white clothes, the dancing white gauze, and the simple hairstyle set off Xiaoqian's plain face. It can be said that Xiaoqian changed her look overnight. When she met Ning Caichen on the first night, her look was the most classic, with a bow-tie hairstyle. I still suspect that lady ga ga is imitating Xiaoqian. As for Ning Caichen, it can be said that his disguise as a scholar can defeat all scholars, and the virtual image of a scholar can also be said to be fixed on his body. There is also the bearded Yan Chixia, and only Wu Ma's performance is Yan Chixia. For other interpretations, I don't want to watch it anymore.
With these, it is difficult to think of whether it is exciting, not to mention the content of his own story in this film is also attractive. I have always wondered why the translated name of A Chinese Ghost Story is A Chinese Ghost Story, and even thought it was a bit ridiculous, but now that I think about it, Chinese ghost stories are not all romantic and poignant, and it can also be said that Chinese ghost stories are not like this?
All kinds of things, it seems that only these are composed of Ghost Story.
Xiaoqian is only Wang Zuxian's Xiaoqian, and Ning Caichen is only Leslie Cheung's Ning Caichen.
And my childhood memories are also awakened in this way. A Chinese Ghost Story is the Hong Kong film that I have watched the most, no matter how many times I watch it.
