When I grew up a little, I started to distinguish between good and bad, and I gradually realized that those movies that I still feel "wow! Cool" when I revisited them a few years later are the real classics. Don't worry about this when I was a child, any film made by Hong Kong people is a good movie!
In a prosperous world, there is the arrogance of a prosperous age. Every classic Hong Kong film is followed by one after another. As soon as gambling films became popular, the audience had to be filmed to the point where they were disgusted when they saw poker; Here is an interesting case of Dong Shi Xiao frown, so as to appreciate the insolence of Hong Kong movies.

Two or three things about "A Chinese Ghost Story", "Golden Swallow" and "Fox Fairy"
In the video hall era, "A Chinese Ghost Story" was not called "A Chinese Ghost Story", the first episode was called "Sword and Demon", and the second and third episodes were called "Fighting Demons in Troubled Times" and "Golden Buddha on Blood". A murderous name. I think it was "A Chinese Ghost Story" Taiwen crepe, which did not match the average aesthetic taste of video consumers at that time, so they were changed to these mighty names after the introduction. It took me years to figure out their real names. This practice continued for many years. For example, Tsui Hark's "Knife" was later changed to "Broken Swordsman" because the original name was too subtle and unattractive to video tape tenants. The first time I saw the clip of "Excalibur Slayer" was in a storefront that rented videotapes (remember that it was still a state-run store). The clip I glimpsed at that time was Yan Chixia fighting against the fierce generals under the old demon of Montenegro. What I felt at the time, and I learned later, was an adrenaline rush.
In addition to video halls, small theaters were popular for a while when I was young. Looking back now, the source of these small theaters should be LDs, which are projected with projectors. Because of the name of the theater, the grade has risen. The video hall can only sneak around on its own, but this kind of small theater can go to the whole family during festivals. The most impressive time was when the whole family went to see "Golden Swallow". I remember that even my grandmother went there together. The film is naturally also classified by me as "wow! Cool" category. When I was a child, I was relatively heartless, but I didn't find it similar to "A Chinese Ghost Story" for several years. Now it seems that "A Chinese Ghost Story" premiered in the summer of 1987, and "Golden Swallow" was released at the end of that year. The production of this film is actually quite excellent. The front and behind the scenes of "A Chinese Ghost Story" were the momentary choices of the Hong Kong film industry at that time, and the team of this film can be regarded as a strong soldier. Many of the behind-the-scenes members overlap with "A Chinese Ghost Story", so it can be regarded as a good appearance in Dong Shizhong.
A few years later, directed at Hu Huizhong, a celebrity in the video hall era, he went to the theater to watch "Fox Immortal". The influence of "A Chinese Ghost Story" is so huge that it still has such a complete effect after a few years. It was so serious, yet so clumsy, that when I revisited it years later, I was still laughing.
"A Chinese Ghost Story" is still the pinnacle of this genre, "Golden Swallow" has become a bit mediocre after many years, and "Fox Fairy" has become a camp cult in the precipitation of time. This is the unique charm brought about by the interlacing of movies and time.
Dong Shixiao frowns only belong to the arrogance of the prosperous age, and I miss the arrogance of the prosperous age very much.
