When I was bored, I actually wrote about my thoughts. This is the second day after I watched the movie. The feeling may not be so deep. This film is a French literary film, it is not like those American films that always have some unexpected plots to shock your heart. This film is so literary that I wanted to watch it again and write my thoughts, but I didn't have the patience.
In the film, time is the bright line, and the growth of the family is the dark line to carry out the plot. It's all about the little things that are plain but common in every family. The growing and leaving of the children, the boredom of the lover, the rebellious adolescence, the confused teenager... Because of the cultural background and my own limitations, I can't feel much, maybe it's just the skin that I want to show us in the film.
In the film, I remember the most solid scene: the mother in the film goes to her eldest son, hoping that the eldest son can help her with breast augmentation to win her lover's favor. The eldest son said, "Everyone here thinks that I am a time machine, and I hope I will take them back to the past." After listening to this, the eldest son feels like he is helpless about his work and also expresses emotion about life. Things don't go back to the past because of small changes. If you don't manage anything, it will not last forever, and nothing can be done once and for all. There is also her daughter's pursuit and persistence in love. A wrong start seems to herald a bumpy emotional journey, and finally she becomes decadent, sleeps with strangers, and has an abortion... Until her mother wakes up in a car accident for herself. How many movies is this scene in? Maybe how much real life actually happens? Humans always know how to cherish when they lose. Fortunately, the girl did not lose her mother. She learned to cherish when she was about to lose. If the film can give me the impression that it is off topic, it is the father in the film. He is a super invincible "big smoke shovel" who keeps talking about quitting smoking but never succeeds. Will make up my mind. Once again confirmed the argument of not listening to the old man. Father really died quietly when the family returned to harmony.
The only way to keep the earth alive is to live and breathe. The film ends with a scene where her daughter tests that she is pregnant, which is like sadness and joy. Perhaps the child will always be a hope. The arrival of the child has given her and even her entire family a rebirth, living every day from the first day of the rest of their lives.
