The picture is not that good. Topic, nothing to say.

From this "Ocean", all I see is the ocean, and it is difficult to see beyond the ocean. But that doesn't stop it from being an excellent movie.

The theme, without saying

anything, "A child stood in front of the sea and asked me what the sea is. Yes, what is the sea? Where should I start? What is the sea? What is the ocean?" When I said this monologue in a slightly hoarse voice that smoked excessively, I was pleasantly surprised, because the familiar Western microscopic vision and grand narrative method appeared in front of me again, and I began to imagine, This should be a movie with a lot of small touches and surprises, but it also reflects the big theme of the ocean. But as the film slowly unfolded, I gradually got disappointed. Without a main line, the twists and turns at any one place are very random and unorganized:

animals balance each other;
humans have explored space without understanding the deep sea;
seasons cause animals to migrate
;
From memory, it’s not comprehensive enough)

But I clearly remember that the content of these parts has no elements of environmental protection at all, but after a camera was pulled directly from the sea to a satellite in space, the slightly far-fetched theme of environmental protection began. The narration tells us that thanks to satellite technology, we can clearly see humans dirtying the ocean. And then there are images of the seals swimming in a factory-polluted water all the time. This segment is only a few minutes before the ocean images of the Antarctic and Arctic begin.

Then there is the extinction of animals.

The final call to "it's not too late to act, let's get the planet back to life" together was a huge disappointment to me. This reminds me of a documentary "Homeland" from a few years ago. At the end of that documentary, the enumeration of a number of objective examples of the choice between environmental protection and national defense armament in various countries appears extremely powerful. But "Ocean"'s final, vague appeal really doesn't arouse much emotion inside of us. Fortunately, the previous picture has made a lot of foreshadowing, otherwise, such an isolated and lack of strength cry must be a disaster.

Picture, no good to say

From the trilogy of Heaven, Earth and Man, Jacques Behan will surely be able to create a scene in a documentary that people will never forget. This film is no exception. I also won't try to describe these images in words, because their shock will hit you the first moment you see them.

Theory tells us: Documentary is a film or television art form that takes real life as the subject of creation, takes real people as the object of expression, and performs artistic processing and presentation on it.

Looking at this movie with such a concept, it does record the real ocean, and the beauty of its pictures is a masterpiece of art. However, the only regret is: we have not seen the essence of the ocean, and we have not seen it after watching it. too much thinking.
