The food is beautiful, and the beginning of the story is really interesting. A mother who doesn't know how to cook, and a son who is just showing his culinary talent, his ordinary life is full of fun and entertaining. nigel is a very magical child, he is afraid of being alone, the gardener josh encourages him, everything will be ok, takes him to eat pork pie, raw radishes, and looks up to enjoy the feeling of raindrops hitting his face. After the death of their mother, they start a culinary competition with stepmother Joan to compete for their father's attention. This part is actually not very exciting, it is not as aura at the beginning of the story, but it is quite special. It is the first time I see "To capture a man's heart, you must first capture his stomach" (The way to a man's heart is always through his stomach.) practice.
But after his father died, he decided to leave his stepmother, only to find that she was just a woman who was afraid of being alone.
