A stunning time, a gentle time

I think Christopher loves Sylvia's looks, and the brief time she's been in love with. And he loves Valentine, because he loves her positive sunshine, loves her spirituality, loves her knowledge, and loves her understanding of him. Although old-fashioned, for Christopher, Sylvia and Valentine are one amazing time, the other gentle. As an outsider overlooking the whole story, I would choose Valentine. But when you are really in that role, it may be difficult to choose who to choose, or it may be obvious.
