Maternal love is great, but whitewashing is not advisable

The title of this film is already very straightforward, and the plot itself is not complicated. It is a story of a stepmother avenging her stepdaughter.

However, a major promotion point of this film is "based on the Delhi black bus incident", so I looked at this point, and the feeling after watching it was really just two words "this is it???"

The real tragedy that happened in 2012 was so flattered in this film that it could be said to have been taken lightly. Not to mention the subsequent effects, even the girl's experience was arranged as a "premise" by the screenwriter. Please, rationalization of the plot does not mean that the crime should also be rationalized or even beautified?

And from the beginning to the end, the reason why the stepmother in the film can get revenge is based on the fact that their family belongs to the upper class in India, that they have the financial conditions to hire private detectives, have a good education and can prepare their own neurotoxins, etc. Wait.

So, at the end, the detective at the bottom died and no one cared. The stepmother had Indian JC to help when she shot the last revenge object in a high-end resort. The comparison seems particularly ironic.

Half of the three stars I give are purely for the sake of Xili Daiyu.

I once again witnessed the low quality of the audience watching the movie and the numbness of their mentality... The whole process was loudly discussed, and the end actually laughed at me. I really want to ask, where do you think the laughter is under that situation?

Adapted from the world-renowned Indian black bus case, which has been filmed by BBC and Netflix, the reason for the attention is related to the deep-rooted gender inequality in India. How bad is the environment? It took six years for the original case to be finally closed. In 2016, there were nearly 40,000 sexual assault cases in India, which is equivalent to 100 tragedies every day. Netflix documentaries have also been banned in India. So first of all, in terms of subject matter, this movie is amazing. As a film with strong commercial attributes, the adaptation of the story simply went to the other extreme - using violence to overcome violence. At the legal level, this road is not advisable, but in the Indian context, it will only be another kind of sadness. It's not "Confession", nor is it a cool movie. What adds to the tragedy of fate is that the actor who completed the revenge mother, the Bollywood goddess Shiri Daiyu, died unexpectedly after filming this movie, and she died very strangely...
