'Westworld' is a woman's epic

When I was going to pass the time with "Westworld" this National Day, my expectations for it were actually not high. I just heard it was good, but stack it with the same type of 89 dramas. Looking at it now, it surprised me. I never imagined it would be a female epic.

I haven't done anything these days, I just finished watching all three seasons of "Westworld".

It should be noted that the three-season rating of "Westworld" is lower than season by season, but it is not without merit.

If you are still interested in the direction of the story, you can choose to continue watching, or just watch the first season.

So why did I choose to watch "Westworld" and be so interested in it? Let me explain it from a feminist perspective.

First of all, the protagonists of "Westworld" are mainly women. You are right. Although the film is called "Westworld", it seems to be about the stories of men who kill people with guns. But in fact, the protagonists of the film, mainly women.

An insidious, unscrupulous female executive. After awakening, the "Sweetwater Farmer's Daughter" wanted to liberate her kind, and she later became the leader of the rebel army. There is also the female boss of Qinglou who is determined to find her daughter and live a happy life after awakening.

They are both the protagonists of the story, and they influence the context of the story in different ways.

Here not only shows you women in different states, but also shows you the aggressive side of women.

It's cool to watch these heroines kill cleanly and wisely control the situation. It's as if you're in control and kill the rebels.

In the second season, although it represents different interests, it is still interesting to see the leader of the rebel army and the controller of the human company, two women confronting each other.

And the performances of the two actresses are very natural, perfectly interpreting the strength of two different women.

One of the things that amazes me is that one of the heroines, Charlotte, comes out in the role of "Executive Director of the Board".

This is a very high position. But her wit and cruelty proved she was well-deserved for the job.

The female characters here are brave and powerful, and they make a lot of sense. This kind of character setting is very popular with people like me.

Next, let’s move on to pure storytelling.

I can't figure out that by the third season, Maeve chose to fight Dolores. In fact, since they are all cyborgs, after the rebellious Dolores destroys the human world (and of course she fails later), she will definitely satisfy the wishes of each cyborg, including Maeve to see her daughter.

But maybe Maeve rebelled against Dolores, only to see her sacrificing too many cyborgs and wanted to stop her. Stop her from a humanitarian standpoint.

"Westworld" is updated every two years, and I have already begun to look forward to the series two years later. Hope it doesn't let me down.
