I watched this movie on pps, so I checked the comments of pps. I saw a lot of voices like this:
"Human traitors have become heroes? Traitors are glorious? Those who make decisions for human survival have become scum?" I
actually felt this way after watching this movie. If it is said that when a species is on the verge of extinction, no one will do it like this. Although the ending is coexistence, the male protagonist does not know such a future.
So I also feel that the male protagonist's approach is inappropriate. Under the influence of all kinds of Darwinism, it seems that the battle between species is justified. But I couldn't help but think of the shadow of this movie in reality.
That is the war between Japan and China. Back then, Japan was constrained by various powerful countries due to its own serious internal contradictions, coupled with Japan's geographic problems, earthquakes and tsunamis. So Japan is like China in the movie, and it has invaded China under the leadership of right-wing elements. I think that when Japan mobilized the army, it was similar to the general's mobilization words in the movie.
And China is an alien who was once strong, but then became too peaceful.
In this way, it seems that the change of position is too easy.
So many viewers who stood on the human stand began to think that the general seemed to be a hero. Can we also understand Japan's visit to the Yasukuni Shrine?
If we think about the problem in this way, the world is a bit complicated. Which position I think I am, don’t switch positions lightly. There are too many influences from the outside world, and making a movie can shake your position. You may forget your position at any time.
Although this movie is very simple, there is no need to think about this place far-fetched when watching a movie. However, there are many phenomena where the position I mentioned above is easy to change.
Look at another point, if Japan is going to sink due to an earthquake. Will we agree to coexist with them in mainland China?
