Most movies that describe homosexuality always put the pain of homosexuality on the surface, either bizarre and weird, or struggling to the death. The beautiful name is the beauty of the same sex, or deformed love. The storyline is filled with oil and vinegar. It is either sunny or overcast. How can gays tell gay stories so fun.
The Italian director Ferson Ozpat, who has always admitted that he is gay, has no shame and embarrassment. His works have several homosexual themes, which are very good ("Hammam" and "Love"). His films on the subject of homosexuality do not interpret or explain this label. He cares about the story, it is interesting, and it speaks proportionately. His new film is called "My Way", and it slowly seems to be fun. This probably involves the witty and humorous characteristics of Italian films. But Ferson Ozpeter is not as masterful as Fellini and Antonioni, he is similar to Woody Allen, and he is also the same as Almodovar. In short, the means of laughing and cursing is nothing to say. The sword doesn't go slanting, playing with the plot in applause, so even if his movie appears gay, it is very decent and humorous. The title of "My Way, My Way," is nothing more than highlighting individualism and letting oneself wish to live. The movie started really beautiful, golden sunshine, beautiful brides, beautiful farm buildings. I guess it’s southern Italy. I heard that the sun is shining all year round and the personality of the people is also very public. Sure enough, the girl pulled out a gun to commit suicide, a handsome man. The young man rushed to stop her. As the camera turned, an old grandmother looked at the photo and recalled the past.
But this movie is not a flashback, interruption, or memory. The old woman put down the photo and an energetic young man rushed in. It turned out that it was her little grandson who went home during the summer vacation. This young man went to university in Rome, fell in love with writing, and became gay. He planned to take advantage of the summer vacation to go home and tell his parents these "stories" in order to irritate his parents, to leave home and live a free life. Unfortunately, the elder brother took the first step to express his stance, and the father was furious and scolded him. In desperation, his life changed again. With the encouragement of his grandmother, he first took over his father's factory, and then he had a hazy relationship with a beautiful woman. The beautiful girl is lovable, and when he can almost accept the current life, his Roman "boyfriend" comes to visit him. At this point in the story, the dilemma can be regarded as a vain shot. Either listen to your own or your destiny. The older brother listens to his own, and the younger brother can only obey the destiny. Arrangements come and go, the younger brother can't help but complains to his family. Is it necessary to hide the identity of homosexuality?
Ozpat made a big joke at the end. The grandmother dressed up and ate the cake in the mirror. While eating, he showed a joyful expression and shed tears of joy. What does it mean? Do you decide to end the family dispute, or do it your own way, whatever you want? As a result, the grandmother really succumbed to death. But it is not difficult to imagine that before she died, she was alive and happy. She said to the nanny: "I have had enough of this." Isn't it the director's inner monologue in response to the topic? At the end, people get their own future according to their own wishes. The old grandmother turns into a young age at the beginning of the movie, walks towards the wedding, and dances, including the male protagonist’s boyfriend and girlfriend. I have forgotten that there is such a thing as homosexuality.
