Jeux interdits-1952
Brigitte Fossey was only 5 years and 3 months old. René Clément thought she was too young, but René's wife believed that Brigitte Fossey was Paulette. Brigitte Fossey has since embarked on the path of acting, and she is still active until now. And when we entered the names of the two young protagonists Brigitte Fossey and Georges Poujouly in Google and Bing's image search engine, what we found was still their classic image in this "forbidden game".
Today, when we look at this 60-year-old work, we are all crying, and we are all moved by the sincere emotions of the two children.

Why did Michel steal 14 crosses? He just wanted to please this pretty girl Paulette. When he was chasing a cow that had escaped from his home, he found a little girl holding a puppy and crying in the woods. Suddenly, the little girl seemed to have become his pet, his favor, his friend, and his girl. He coaxed the little girl to sleep, taught her to say prayers, and played with her.
The little girl Paulette ran out to chase her puppy. Her parents were bombed to save her, and the puppy died. The little girl, seeing that her parents are dead, is unwilling to give up her dead puppy. Just because this puppy is her belonging, she feels obligated to take care of its life and death.
Paulette saw the cross for the first time. She felt that it was so beautiful. How could she understand the sacred meaning of the cross when she was 5 years old? In "Monga", the mosquito said, "The meaning is three small things, I only know righteousness." For Paulette: The sacredness of the cross is nothing, she just thinks the cross is beautiful. But Michel told her that the cross was for the dead. So they started this game: Collect the dead bodies of various animals everywhere, bury them in the mill, and accompany her puppies.
This is their secret. One night Paulette said, "...There are still people." She said this unconsciously, and Michel who heard this was obviously stunned. The 5-year-old kid said his desire to kill, but only for a game.
This is the cruelty of war that the director wants to talk about.
5-year-old children, they have no malice, but they buried 14 small animals, intentionally or unintentionally depriving them of their lives; at the same time, 14 sacred crosses witnessed this evil game full of innocence.
"Two Little No Guess" also regards the world as a playground, they only play their own games. Perhaps 60 years later, the concept of black and white games can be changed.
At the time, the Nazi criminal environment dominated the game. The DVD contains the evaluation of Paulette at the age of 5 when Brigitte Fossey was interviewed in 1967 and 2001. She said how she could understand how cruel the phrase "there are people" at the time. Now that I think about it, I can't help fighting the cold war. How could this come from the mouth of a 5-year-old girl.
When Brigitte Fossey made the film, she didn't realize that it was a film about war until she was stunned when she saw the film premiere at the film festival. It turned out that wars, bombs, and bombers were so close to me.

With 14 crosses, Michel completed a great project. He even picked up a lot of rocks, flowers, all animals, puppies, chicks, earthworms, cardinals...all buried in the mill quietly, 14 crosses, and owls on the beams, quietly guarding them Their souls. Michel looked at all this, very pleased, he wanted to take Paulette to see their cemetery.
However, Paulette did not come. She is going to be sent to an orphanage.
He cried and asked his father to keep Paulette, otherwise he would never tell the whereabouts of the 14 crosses; she loudly told the police that her name was Paulette Dolle, the daughter of the Dolle family. However, Paulette left; Michel destroyed the cemetery Paulette hadn't seen.

In the orphanage, Paulette heard someone calling Michel's name, she cried and chased after her, disappearing into the crowd.

René Clément reserved another beginning and ending for the movie. The little boy and the little girl living in heaven. The boy told the girl the story in the storybook. The girl couldn’t cry. The boy had to make up the meeting of Michel and Paulette. After a happy ending, the girl burst into laughter.
So heaven, so hell.
If we accept this sunny version of heaven, then we are blind people who cannot see the cruelty of war.

Nowadays, when we search for pictures of Brigitte Fossey, the most touching thing is the still picture of her crying out "Michel" in the orphanage at the end of the film.
Georges Poujouly passed away in 2000. In 2001, Brigitte Fossey recalled their friendship at that time. She said, "Everyone thinks we played well because we are really good with each other. He has always taken care of me. The emotions are real."

Seeing that the little girl was sent away at the end was like reading that Daguanyuan had been checked, and my heart was broken. All the good things are destined to be torn apart, and adults will always feel like iron stone.

In terms of narrative details, this film is too cruel.
