Blue Sticky Notes---Impressions of "Injury Inspection"

"Injury Inspection" is adapted from a novel by American writer Scott Anderson. The title "Triage" originally means "category". "Injury Inspection" is almost the most intuitive translation, but I personally think that "Blue Sticky Notes" is more appropriate.
The protagonist in the film was able to tell this story to us alive because he was injured by a stray bullet and rescued by Kurdish forces. After that, the Kurdish doctor casually put a yellow sticky note on his scarred body. . This yellow sticky note represents that this person still has the possibility of treatment and has the hope of rebirth, while the corresponding blue sticky note represents that the doctor and patient are about to face "humane killing." The wounded soldiers who were judged alive or dead based on different colors were carried by their comrades to the already dug graves, and then the Kurdish doctor used a pistol to help them completely free from the unbearable pain. After the batches were broken, the doctors and the soldiers prayed together for the dead, wishing their souls to fly to Allah’s side as soon as possible. For such behavior, Kurdish doctors laughed at themselves: Humane killing!
The photographer Robert Capa once said: "If you are not shooting well enough, it proves that you are not close enough"! I don’t know how many photojournalists with aspirations have been sent to the battlefield by this famous saying. It is precisely because of their existence and dedication that we have the honor to see countless pictures of blood and killing from the battlefield. The protagonists of this film happen to be two photojournalists who went to report in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, because in the field hospital, they saw and photographed too many moments of life and death determined by yellow and blue sticky notes. Perhaps it is almost impossible to bear it. What counts as a scene of extinction of humanity, perhaps it is really a fear of the front line that is about to go, the two reporters decided to change their plans and return to the camp on foot. Not wanting to encounter stray bullets on the way, one of the reporters was blown off his legs. In painful groans, he kept begging his companions: take him home! Regrettably, survivors had to choose to give up their dying companions in order to survive. Even though Allah had absolutely no chance to save the lives of their companions, the survivors still fell into the pain of self-blame for their actions.
"War is truly over for the dead." The famous Western philosopher Plato's famous saying runs through the work. As a director with battlefield experience, in addition to trying to interpret the war for us again through the lens of a reporter In addition to the cruelty, the director also put forward and answered such a proposition on his own: Why do survivors of the disaster have to find ways to bury their relatives and friends who died in the disaster? As for the answer, the psychiatrist explained it as people's concern about unrelated matters. When the dead are buried, the painful past is buried in the hearts of the living. And when everything related to the deceased is buried by the loess, some brand-new things will quietly walk out of the tomb. It is a kind of endless fire that gives the living the courage to move on.
In addition to the above cognition, specific to each individual like me, he may be shocked by the different details and scenes in the movie, which is probably related to the individual's experience and experience. For example, what lingers in my mind is a close-up of the following frame: a rough hand that has lost its life, and a blue sticky note is tightly squeezed between the fingers that have not been cleaned of blood.
The reason why I feel shocked is probably related to this Kurdish nation with Islamic beliefs. Kurdish is a nation without land. For such a nation without the soil for its own survival, it is easy to be loyal to and rely on its own beliefs. Explain the thing. For the sake of land, rights, and for their children and grandchildren to win a home of their own, the Kurds have engulfed themselves into war for generations. They are extreme, persistent, barbaric and even cold, but their destiny is also full of endless. Sadness and pain. For such a nation, for such a type of history, it may not be possible to find a fundamental solution. Therefore, the Kurds who are facing difficulties may choose war, death, and endure the pain caused by death. I will never allow myself or even my own people to live with shame on their faces and snorting themselves!
