The setting/lighting/photography/sounds of this film are all typical Japanese styles. The key is to have such a vivid evil appearing! It's really rare, in the many American horror movies.
This film tells the story of the murderous husband and heroine who lives in her apartment to serve her sentence, and then encounters the evil spirit of the husband who has been waiting for revenge on his wife. The space of the story always stays at four points in the living room/kitchen, bedroom, and basement. 80% of the time, there is only the heroine, but the rhythm is tight and the elements are full, which does not make people feel "inferior" at all. The key is that the plot does not make people feel "mentally retarded", but instead is all about the heroine's courage to fight for her own living space alone.
