Excerpts from the lines.

a.The two clocks show different times.Surely both wrong.Instead of telling time, it seems to point at our hopeless condition. We relate to it as twigs to the rain:we can't defend ourselves.

b.Order and freedom are ourselves linked by passion. We have to believe in both, we suffer from both.

c.He was trying to feel his way with his cane in the dark. And the relentless rain merged swearing.

d. Suddenly, a person was scared quietly arrive. He did not move, shrinking to a place where he felt safe. Chewing becomes painful, swallowing becomes anger. Then slowly calm down. Finally, the most terrible thing happened: pause. No way out. I can live until the end of time.

e. My life is Tango. My father is the sea. My mother is the earth. My name is Tango. Tango. There is no sea and no earth. What happened to the sea and the earth. My life is Tango. Tango.

f. The beautiful sound of the accordion. The spiders in the guest house launched the final round of attack. They weave a net on the glass. On the cup. On the ashtray. Table legs. Chair legs. They tied themselves up with a mysterious thread, as if the key came from their hiding corner. Every movement and swing of them is very good, as long as the invisible net is not bad enough to break. They weave nets on the faces, feet, and hands of sleeping people. Then immediately went back to where he was hiding. Waiting for their little lines to vibrate again.

g. He wanted to dig up the soil, but it was useless, and the soil fell back. He tried again but failed. So he wept. He sat on the window of the garage, but didn't know, didn't know whether it was dawn or dusk, endless.

h. Forever incomparable with short-term: variable, instantaneous. The intense light pierced the darkness. It seems weak, lacks coherence, and hollow. The last is blank. There are so many stars far away that you can't touch it. There is only a faint light in the middle: self.

i. Our truth may be rewarded or punished. And only there, everything has a place, a place far away from the real. There is a place that belongs to it, and it will always belong to it. This place is now.

j. They stared at the ceiling without a clue. That is so idle and passive that puts them in the forgiveness that they fear most.

k. We'll rise from the dead.

"I hope I will watch it again every year during my lifetime." If there are only seven and a half hours left in my life, I would like to focus on appreciating a Satan's tango. Doctrine is shattered, God is probing, and the rain is endless.

That morning, I slept enough, ate my meal, and started watching this seven-hour movie. It was worthwhile to spend the time for this movie. Among Taer’s movies, this one I feel is the least boring and endearing. , Think about it.

Satantango quotes

  • Százados: Not that human life was so highly valued. Keeping order appears to be the business of the authorities, but in fact it's the business of all. Order. Freedom, however, has nothing human. It's something divine, something... our lives are too short for us to know properly. If you're looking for a link, think of Pericles, order and freedom are linked by passion. We have to believe in both, we suffer from both. Both from order and freedom. But human life is meaningful, rich, beautiful and filthy. It links everything. It mistreats freedom only... wasting it, as if it was junk. People don't like freedom, they are afraid of it. The strange thing is there is nothing to fear about freedom... order, on the other hand, can often be frightening.

  • Futaki: I shouldn't drink. When I do I keep thinking of coffins.
