At two o'clock in the morning on December 12, 2021, I suffered from insomnia. I remembered the French movie "Forbidden Game" that I had watched in college. It’s a coincidence that the date of watching this movie happened to be today 29 years ago-Saturday, December 12, 1992. That day, Qin Junmin, a junior high school classmate, visited and watched it with Qin and another junior high school classmate, Li Aiming who was also in Wuhan University at the time. Also on the same day was "Raise the Red Lantern". The comments on these two films in the notes are good. After about July and August, I saw the novel in the third issue of "Contemporary Foreign Literature" 1993-because the magazine was published on June 28. I didn’t read the novel carefully at the time. I didn’t read most of it until 29 years later and I went to order magazines and books with two different translations.
