Kurosawa's movie "Sweet Dreams of the Bad Guy" tells the story of a man who committed suicide by a boss in a working society, and the man's illegitimate son avenged his father. Kurosawa Akira’s film is adapted from Shakespeare’s tragedy "Hamlet", but in fact it is completely different from Hamlet in terms of plot. There is no death of Ophelia, no ghost of father, no duel with brother Ophelia, no killing. The joy of the dead uncle, all you see is a Hamlet that is still delayed, and an unsuccessful revenge story.
In the first half of the movie, Hamlet played triumphant songs all the way, putting the enemy who harmed his father under the high pressure of police and journalists. It seemed that everything went smoothly. Soon Hamlet was able to avenge his father successfully. But Hamlet fell in love with the enemy's daughter. He didn't know if he should continue. If he continued, he and Ophelia would never be together. The delayed and cowardly Hamlet appeared again.
1. The social atmosphere where blood is exchanged for blood and tooth for tooth
Since the beginning of the 21st century, we have seen countless movies and television works advocating blood for blood and tooth for tooth. Whether it was "The Temptation of Going Home", which was once watched by Hunan Satellite TV, or "Bansawa Naoki", which viciously said "double repayment", we all see an atmosphere of revenge permeating. Entering this atmosphere of revenge in real life transforms into an absolute killing of the tainted characters. The average daily salary of a female celebrity is "2.08 million", and the high income of the celebrity has turned into a feeling of hatred for wealth. When they are caught in the center of public opinion, they only need to say "their average daily salary is 2.08 million, how can they donate this money?" "You can find a sacred reason for forcing a star to donate.
Not to mention that the salary of 2.08 million is the treatment that the top celebrities in the industry can get. Most celebrities don't have the chance to touch the ceiling. Why does Zhang Songwen play for so many years and still can't afford a house in Beijing. When a scene in the market is able to attract so much investment and so much attention, star salaries are reduced, and it is not the audience that benefits but the producer and the investment company behind it. Compared with the salaries of hate stars, perhaps the most important thing is why the producers dare to give such high prices, and why they can arrogantly commit tax evasion. They are not philanthropists, and they dare to give a star a salary of 2.08 million. How much can he earn from this?
2. Little people in the big era
The film's focus is certainly not on the cool drama of the revenge of the small person, but the small person who is overwhelmed by power in the big era. In the middle of the film, Hamlet wants to temporarily put down his hatred and live a de facto married life with Ophelia. She went to the flower shop to carefully select the bouquets for Ophelia. As Ophelia’s brother’s shotgun came in with a brisk whistle, Hamlet’s bouquet was placed on the floor, Ophelia was right in front of her, and Hamlet was Forced away. He can't be with Ophelia like no one else, just like the bunch of flowers on the floor, there is no lens to capture it, and there is no time to take care of the emotional life.
In the end, Hamlet was disguised as a drunk driving by the heroine's father, the car was crushed by the train, and Hamlet died. He could have made the truth public the next day. Being crushed by power to the point of no living space, crushed to death by trains, the truth is buried underground. But this tragedy is not the tragedy of Hamlet alone. The seemingly successful heroine's father nodded and bowed to the big boss behind the scenes at the end of the film. At one end of the phone line, he only promised to please the big boss and promised cautiously.
Hamlet failed, but he was not the only one who was overwhelmed by power. The enemies he hated and scolded were also being crushed by power. At the end of the film, the heroine's father applied for retirement and Jinpen washed his hands. You can’t even decide where you want to take care of yourself. When the boss says that he is going abroad, he is busy saying that he just wanted to go abroad, good, good, good, good. Hang up the phone and bow respectfully to the phone.
The film does not tell us whether the heroine's father can really live in peace or not, or will he be assassinated on the way. But the atmosphere where all members are evil and all members are bitter does make it difficult for you to hate the heroine's father so much. He is just a screw, how can hating a screw help? No one can escape. The fool is fooled by others. It is not that we were deceived, but that the entire Japanese society was deceived.
