I first watched Neil Gaiman's writing class and then came to see it. It cited this book as a case study and explained his creative ideas. It was said that he was invited to write a story. He came up with an alien story, but he couldn't write it when he got stuck in the middle of the writing, so he could only tell the invited manuscript that it might be delayed. The author said that it’s okay to write slowly. You still have 24 hours. So-and-so (a famous female writer) took 12 hours to submit the manuscript.
Then, Neil Gaiman had time constraints and finished the story within 24 hours. In fact, he changed his perspective, recalled the difficulties he encountered in communicating with girls during his adolescence, and then compared girls to aliens, who are so unpredictable. (It can be seen that Eun, the protagonist of the movie, is actually the same model as Neil Gaiman)
The film failed, but about Britain, about punk rock, and the psychedelic style of the film, these things are quite interesting. Elle Fanning is so beautiful
The original book scored more than 8 points and was nominated for the Hugo Award. This movie costs 6 points.
ps, I am willing to watch the whole wtf movie because I think Neil Gaiman's stuff is definitely good. I'd better read a book.
