Metamorphosis beyond metamorphosis

The abnormality of this film is not in the various bloody scenes, but the director unceremoniously exposed the essence of human nature-the evil covered by a veil of hypocrisy, which can make many "decent people" unbearable, haha. First is the appearance of the first strong man Murata. It can be said that this is an out-and-out villain, a character who dares to face the evil in his heart. He has no moral bottom line, he can rape other people’s wives, poison his partners, and finally calm down. Dealing with corpses, he mocks and plays with everything around him in line with the life philosophy of "can make people disappear and you will be invincible". Compared to a bad guy suddenly pulling out a knife and slashing at another person, it may be more difficult for people to accept that a good gentleman has a sharp change of attitude, throwing off his original mask, revealing his ugly nature, and doing bad things that you did not expect. Murata’s warm hospitality to the male protagonist’s family at the beginning of the film gave the audience a positive expectation for his role. In the following plot, he showed his evil to the fullest, without reservation-poisoning, dismemberment, Picking meat, burning bones, feeding fish, and dispersing ashes-skilled and coherent, there is no time for the audience to adapt. I thought it would be over here, but the director has greater ambitions. In the second half of the story, he leads one evil to another. In order to let the male lead society have no bottom line, Murata completely reduced to his vassal, let the society beat himself, make love with his wife, and complete his transformation through the two tools of sex and violence (the function of sex and violence is here. The film is the same, both are tools for the strong to oppress the weak). Unexpectedly, after the evil was released, the original weak was no longer under control. Instead, he killed the strong he had always feared-Murata, and turned himself into a strong and a villain.

This kind of naked display of the animal part of people will make it difficult for most people living in a modern civilized society to accept it. Perhaps this is also the director's mockery of the world? The first garden I saw was warm, it was very appetizing to me, the garden guides the cows!

  • Aiko Murata: You scared the shit out of them! It should be okay. If things go wrong, we'll just make them invisible.
