A retrospective film about the Western medicine system

As a person who was almost killed by Western medicine, this film caught my heart. It deeply portrays all kinds of anti-humanity and zero dignity in contemporary Western medicine treatment, and treats people as completely machines;

It also reflects some problems:

1. The dilemma of cancer treatment: the treatment of cancer also destroys the body. Does this paradox make sense?

2. Many therapies only satisfy the doctor's purpose for research, but are not helpful for healing. When there is no cure, caring and alleviating pain are the most important;

3. The smartest group of people who study tumors are those who admire cancer cells, but feel that patients do not need to be comforted. Compared with patients, they love cancer cells more, because the latter is the winner and the strong;

4. Obviously it is a late stage, only seeking to reduce the pain, but still reluctant to take anesthetics, no compassion; he has given up first aid measures, the corpse is still tortured, and has no compassion.

Western medicine doctors are completely anti-human representatives. Yes I am very extreme. If you have experienced what I have experienced, you will see more things clearly. It was Chinese medicine that gave me a second life and another path to self-saving. While foreign countries are already making films to reflect on these issues, we are still blindly admiring foreigners, pursuing Western medicine and suppressing Chinese medicine.

Poetry VS medicine, humanity VS science, the ultimate contradiction. A middle-aged female professor who always has poetry in her mind, in the face of illness, resists everything with her own poetry alone, and can always observe her life from the perspective of a third party. She walked through her life again in the hospital bed, talking with her father, enlightenment teacher, her own students, and talking with you in front of the camera. Finally, being able to leave in the arms of the teacher, listening to the story that she loved in childhood, and having a kind nurse to treat her aftermath, is also the best see off.

I really like Emma Thompson.

I hope that more people can understand this movie and make careful choices for their lives.
