Mosaic of life

Guiseppe 2022-01-19 08:02:00

The story unfolds on two levels, between mother and daughter, between mother and death. It tells how these two groups of relationships fight against the estrangement, how to shake hands and make peace, so that the daughter (the audience) can understand the incomparably simple thing-to go hard. Love, while we are alive with the one we love.

Due to a friend's recommendation, I watched a movie late at night during the isolation period and cried many times during the period. Lu Xun said that tragedy is to smash beautiful things for others to see. In the film, there are many times in which the plates are knocked down and scattered all over the place. In fact, for those broken things, you can let them fall on the ground and discard them, or you can pick them up and splice them to form a complex and colorful mosaic in the end. Can life also go beyond simple joys and sorrows, and have meanings that cannot be taken away?

In the end, just like her mother, her daughter, Ellie, learned to assemble mosaics and heard voices that were so nuanced that they were negligible.

The plot of the story is very small and not very profound. It is about family, family, understanding and so on. But the two women are so good at acting! ! !

Ellen didn't want to live like her mother, because she only saw the sadness and boredom curled up in a corner for the family, but didn't see her sacrifice her life for this family and her love. The father was like a role model for her, inspiring her, but the truth was that he was not honored and affirmed, and he was not a noble person. After the family experienced the death of a close relative, the father and daughter were relieved and suddenly realized. It will be interesting to compare this film with August Town. 7.7
