Ukrainian director Miroslav Slapospiski’s "Tribe of the Deaf and Mute" (also translated as "Sexuality" 2014), without subtitles, its cold film format is beyond our imagination, and it is utterly shocking. When Sargo came here with a suitcase at first, it was doomed to his tragic fate afterwards. During the meal, the food they brought was snatched by the deaf-mute man on the opposite side. Later, they were repaired one by one by the deaf-mute gang. Like the others around him, he must enter the invisible circle in order to survive without being forced to live. he is very smart. He fell in love with deaf-mute beauties. From the pain, he learned all the tricks of making money. He wants to talk about a stimulating relationship, but he is not optimistic in his heart. He also steals on the train. She felt satisfied if she would give her girlfriend the money and jewelry she stole. Sometimes she is hysterical. When his girlfriend became pregnant, she went to a private clinic and had a painful abortion operation. He felt that in the face of such an inhuman world, he must be ruthless. No one thinks for them. Only real money will take care of them.
When he finally stole on his boss and caused a catastrophe, the deaf-mute partners united to deal with him, and a beer bottle was smashed down, and he fainted on the spot. Fortunately, he is not dead. He must do something when he is alive. On the last night, he retaliated brilliantly. Including his opponent and girlfriend, they were all smothered to death. Deaf-mute people cannot hear the sound. Silence is fatal, sound is also fatal. Sound and silent, this is an extremely decisive and tragic movie.
A real image close to a documentary. There is no line in the whole film, only gestures, but there is no separation. Even though it was cruel, we felt the slightest pain in Sargo. Therefore, this movie at least allows us to experience a very different tribe of deaf-mute people, but it is also the real world of people. Although I became "deaf and dumb" after seeing it.
