The following opinions are personal speculations, and the main references are Rick and Morty's previous works, Terminator, and Back to the Future. The reasons for the latter two are mentioned in the article. This article is an introduction, if you have any questions or conflicts, please discuss!
1. Two pairs of Rick and Morty
Rick and Morty took two time travels.
(1) After finishing homework? Just after entering the house
(2) After finishing homework? After leaving homework
R&M, a mathematics leader, left the job to the future self. As expected, the two of them had just witnessed the collective disappearance of ouroboros, and they found it. The result of "I leave my homework for myself" can only be done (the homework was done overnight, and I learned from the dialogue "Drinking Eggnog" from the two-person car that I was celebrating Christmas that day). The two who have finished their homework will immediately return to the homework to hand in. After handing in the homework, the two went to find themselves with one foot in the house, and deliberately gave them unfinished reference materials, homework questions, and clothing materials for them to do their homework.
2. Several important time points: "now", 2026, "future"
(1) The "now" is indeed the present that is synchronized with the audience's viewing time (that is, Christmas Eve in 2019). 2026 is after the "now", and the "future" is after 2026.
(2) On this basis, it is not difficult to understand why the leader of the snake rebel army thinks Morty is a savior, even a totem: because Morty sent back a female snake, which was born and raised successfully the leader of the rebel army , (Refer to the plot of the "Terminator" series here, and refer to the reason: the female snake that was besieged and suppressed in "Now"). The snake extinction in 2026 is the childhood of this great snake. In the "future", this rebel leader led the snakes to defeat the mechanical snakes.
3. How did Rick "save" everyone
(1) Rick faced the "Terminator Snake" that appeared out of nowhere in the warehouse, and immediately deduced that it was snakes who invented the "killing without blinking and destroying the universe" time machine, so they must destroy their machine. However, this inference is the most direct reason for the later appearance of the "Terminator Snake".
(2) When R&M arrived at the Snake Science Laboratory, he discovered that there is no time machine at all. So Rick cursed swearing in the snake lab and said, "I didn't plan to do this. It means that he did not expect that he was the source of the chaos: he himself gave snakes the time machine to "kill people without blinking and destroy the universe" instead of inventing them themselves. So immediately, he decided to let the Time Administration clean up his mess.
(3) In order to attract the attention of the time manager, Rick controlled the technological direction and progress of the snake. Rick sent the "Encyclopedia of Time Machine Manufacturing" (that is, the homework he handed in) specially compiled for snakes to 1985. The time chaos (chaos that is time waves and cycles) that caused snakes to invent the time machine and touch the "killing without blinking and destroying the universe", attracted the attention of the Time Administration and successfully dumped the pot. 4. Look at what happened to the snake planet from the timeline
(1) It can be understood that there are 3 timelines first. The three timelines follow Schrödinger's cat "simultaneous but non-existent" principle: A is the timeline of the snake ancestor who was killed by a stick by the Time Administration. B is the timeline where the victory of the snake rebels took place. C is the timeline of the snake world war.
(2) Explain according to the order of appearance: In the C timeline, snakes are about to face a world war. In the chaos, they still have the intention to send their snake astronauts to the sky. The astronaut snake attacked the human Morty by accident after going up to the sky, and was beaten to martyrdom by Morty. Afterwards, the pity Morty threw back to the mother of a rebel leader on the snake planet (the second part mentioned why it was the mother of the rebel leader). Afterwards, the snake planet became aware of the existence of creatures such as alteration because of Mort's behavior, and united as one and the rapid development of science and technology. The result of the high level of development is that it was bitten by the snake AI artificial intelligence snake and almost extinct: 12 billion snakes died on June 12, 2026. Fortunately, in the "future" rebel army snakes led the snakes to victory in the war against the mechanical snakes.

(3) In time B, snakes happily entered a well-off society in 1985. Suddenly, because of Rick's gospel, a pair of grandparents and grandchildren created a time machine in advance. Sun Tzu went back to successfully rewrite the history of the Lincoln Snake assassination, and when he came back, the whole world became a Nazi. (How is it so similar to a certain episode??) In the future, the differences in the handling of Nazism by snakes have caused time and space chaos. Snakes of different times have come to assassinate each other at the same time. The timeline is chaotic and collapsed, incurring the time police as Rick wished.

(4) A. Because the time and space police intervened, snakes would never invent tools and send astronauts. The snake planet no longer exists.
