Whether it's a spooky record of cosmetic surgery, or the surging but unspeakable love of the hero and heroine. Full of helplessness and pain. Obviously it is a farce, but never laugh. I have seen a lot of wrong stories. But such a tragic mistake was the first time.
Time. The sorrow of time is that it is irreversible. Just like the changed face of the heroine, it is discovered that the hero still loves who he is. However, I can't go back, I can't go back. So all she could do was to cut off the head of the old photo, put it on her unfamiliar face, and go to him. But how can that thin piece of white paper win time? Behind the portrait she cried heartbreakingly, but the woman on the portrait smiled brightly as always. Yesterday's and today's are strangers and end. Nothing to do.
In fact, they were originally a happy couple. It was the heroine who directed and acted the tragedy. The source of the tragedy is probably in her heart. Or many of us, like her, have enviable careers and relationships, but often fall into self-traps for no reason. Lack of security, lack of self-confidence, and escape in the turbulent inner world. Until the unbearable pressure crushed myself.
When the heroine goes to the coffee shop he frequents over and over again, and meets men who are like him or not like him one after another. She almost collapsed. Time made her joke. Plastic surgery is just a way for her to escape her inherent life and stress. She thinks that a new face can help herself get a new life. As everyone knows, it will only be playing with fire and self-immolation.
The movie finally ends with the death of a man. The heroine stared at the man's blurred face and wept. Whether he was the one she loved so much, she couldn't tell by her face. How can this immense sorrow be so miserable. They are finally evading each other, chasing each other, deceiving each other, and ruining their love in each other's play. Thoroughly.
The ending I can accept is probably the death of the heroine. He even thought that it was reasonable only if she let him go. But Director Kim doesn't. He also let the heroine enter the beauty salon. Let her sit on the horrible operating table. She also asked her to leave the hospital wearing a mask and sunglasses. The repeated scenes made me feel too cruel. The imprint of time does not exist in a face-to-face manner. It is hard to imagine what kind of life the heroine will continue. It is always full of trauma, just like the creepy cosmetic surgery in the film.
The last shot is a bustling street. Among us, how many are she or him? Or, neither. Or, both.
