The disillusionment of myths and legends

The trilogy of life has long been famous. I just finished reading it recently and I was very disappointed. There is a feeling of disillusionment.
The first ten-day talk is more detailed, and the following Thousand and One Nights and Canterbury Legends are swiftly jumped to watch, because it is really unbearable.
What I can't stand the most is that the director always makes the actors giggle irrespective of the occasion. Please, please respect the audience, respect the original, and respect the history. The Middle Ages does not mean that everyone has to be so mentally retarded, and a giggle does not mean simplicity. Seeing this expression too much, it's really out of appetite.
The director may consciously want to reproduce the original life scenes of the Middle Ages, using many long shots and mid-to-distance shooting, with a slower pace and no music. For a movie with a weak plot, poor coherence, no protagonist, and unprofessional actors, this approach will only reduce points. At least as far as I am concerned, my feelings have never been mobilized and cannot be integrated into the movie. At most, take a look at it as a sketch. Although individual performances will have brilliant performances and humorous plots, they cannot enhance the viewing of the entire movie.
Another thing I can’t bear is that there are a lot of sex scenes in the movie, but most of the shots are not aesthetic at all. They are basically like animals. Do a piston movement. When the comrades who come to watch these movies in erotic films, 80% will be disappointed. (Speaking quietly, this is also one of my motives.)
But of course it's not useless. The faces of the actors fit my imagination of the appearance of Italians in the Middle Ages. The props and costumes are also decent. Those monasteries full of arches and markets crowded with vendors are also quite satisfactory.
Maybe these stories are not suitable for making movies. For example, One Thousand and One Nights should be the story of the kings of Arab sheikhs, and in my imagination should be full of extravagant details. But the film made these stories so awkward and cramped, which is really against the spirit of mythology. Those actors who play beautiful girls are not ugly, but once they turn their imagination into the face of reality, they always feel wrong. In particular, there is a story in which princes and princesses who didn't know each other were put together overnight by magic and woke up amazed by each other. This scene in the movie is on two broken beds in a small shack that is not much better than a cave. A pair of black boys and girls, with very native and childish faces, slept naked on the bed. When they saw each other, they drew their guns without saying anything. A pair of voyeuristic old and young wives sat on the roof, watching this scene with relish, and the young wives fell into the arms of the old man in a shy manner. The eyeballs of the old man who didn't raise it at the first glance came out. Forgive me for using vulgar and mean words, but such a beautiful material has been ruined so vividly, I can't help but feel a bit resentful. Movies are art, not for nonsense, ok? What
if today's Hollywood high-tech productions and professional teams are used to make these stories? Can you reproduce the fantasy sky that these myths and legends have constructed in our hearts? I believe it must be much better.
In short, I regret being fooled by other film critics and wasting time watching these movies. I hope these images will be forgotten by me sooner, and keep the magical and magnificent imagination of One Thousand and One Nights in my memory.
