Frankenweenie, there is a translation into "Little Frankenstein", the name of this film should be related to the famous science fiction and movie "Frankenstein". It is also a black and white film. The story is about a little boy who was very sad and depressed after his dog was hit and killed by a car. In school, when the teacher experimented with electric shocking the frog to make his nerves twitch, he had the inspiration to save his puppy. So at night, he caused the thunder and lightning in the sky to shock the puppy's body and revive it. The reborn puppy terrified the neighbors of the boy’s house. They regarded the dog as a monster... The atmosphere of the whole film is weird, and the Hitchcock-style soundtrack is chilling. The performances of several actors, especially It was the look in the eyes that made me restless. But this film does have a happy ending. When the neighbors chased the dog, they forced the dog and the boy into a small wooden house and almost burned them to death. But the puppy rescued the boy and died on his own. The neighbors and the boy's parents were moved by it and determined to save it again. They used a car engine to produce electricity, and once again rescued the dog. So we saw a happy ending at first sight of a puppy whose whole body fur was sewn twice with thick threads, whose ears generate electricity, and a little black poodle.
Horrified? Such outstanding Tim Burton-style imagination must have made me dream of a very interesting dream after watching the movie last night, although I don’t remember it today...
I was in the Home Video version of "Christmas Eve I saw this short film which was only about 26 minutes in "Fright".
