Persuasion

Needless to say, Jane Austen's story.
In fact, Miss Austen makes me feel that the world is beautiful every time. The love she wrote is definitely not perfect, it contains deception, desire, pride, and betrayal. But she always writes about the sincerity and bravery of love.
I can't resist the charm of a happy ending.

The movie can be said to be a standard BBC production, there are not many surprises, but it is absolutely fitting.
The actors, the choice of scenes, the music, and the rhythm are all comfortable. Jane Austen's things are still handed over to the BBC to make the best match.

The new version of the Pride and Prejudice movie is too fancy and gorgeous. Not only is the visual fatigue of the natural scenery, the gorgeous long shot is a bit unbearable within 3 minutes, plus the impetuous performance of the heroine... It's a pity that Matthew's performance Mr. West. Well, I know I’m eccentric ////

And compared with the BBC version of arrogance and prejudice, Persuation feels more gentle and restrained.
After all, the two heroines are very different from Austen's character to appearance.
The film length is shorter. People who love the original may not like it that much the first time they read it.
But I think the whole film still has the charm of Austen.

The most disappointing thing about DVDs is that they have almost no additional content.

Recommended for those who like Austen and BBC productions.

=. = How did the motive of the second man’s proposal be adapted like this? The alliance between him and the widow is gone. Why did the eldest sister find such a person with no beauty and no education to play it? The CP feeling of the two protagonists is not bad, and the radiant face of the heroine and the heroine after the reunion is also photographed.

Persuasion quotes

  • Captain Benwick: [Anne and Benwick are discussing poetry and he asks her which she prefers of two poems by Sir Walter Scott. Anne answers by quoting a line from the second poem. They then alternately recite the next few lines] Tell me, do you prefer "Marmion" or "The Lady of the Lake?"

Anne: "Like the dew on the mountain / Like the foam on the river /"

Captain Benwick: "Like the bubble on the fountain / Thou art gone /"

    Anne: "and forever!"

  • Sir Walter Elliot: I will not have a sailor in my house. I strongly object to the Navy. It brings persons of obscure birth into undue distinction. And it cuts up a man's youth and vigour most horribly.
