Now I’m always thinking about the plot of "Mr. Abraham", as if it has not yet been liberated from it. In this case, I should probably use the word "aftertaste" in a word, but it seems to be more expressive to me. The state of "excitement" at this time. A very good movie, although the characters, environment and storyline seem to be ordinary. Let me briefly describe the plot: The little boy lives with his divorced father on the "Blue Boulevard" in Paris, France. His father is stereotypically depressed and ruthless, and his life is poor and boring but peaceful. On the day of the boy’s sixteenth birthday, he ended his virginity at the street oriole. In a small grocery store, he got the first teachings from the shop owner, the old man, from the shop owner, and started a warm and touching year-end friendship. After being unemployed and throwing his son away and finally committing suicide, he developed a touching father-son relationship. Almost all the characters in the film have "characters", which can be called "lovely": the old man (Muslim) is old but kind and wise, the young man (Jew) is sometimes melancholy but smart and straightforward, even the warriors on the street. Not offensive at all, on the contrary, they are all kind and lovely people. The home is "cold", but the "grocery store" makes people feel warm. They went for a walk by the river and took a bath in the Turkish bath. The boy received the love he couldn't get from his father, and the old man was always there. Inadvertently teaches his life experience bit by bit to the boy. I see, this film is about giving and giving. The old man gave the boy everything he could: warm fatherly love, rich life experience and a small grocery store with "good business"!
In the second half of the film, the old man took the boy back to his hometown, Turkey, but unfortunately died in a car accident when he was close at hand. The boy was spared by getting out of the car early. Although I do not completely reject the tragedy, I still feel that the director or screenwriter of this film has made such an arrangement too deliberate. Generally, it should be like this: the old man, accompanied by the boy, will go away peacefully after a long life. But this is naturally uninteresting, so the happiness stopped abruptly. The old man left with the satisfaction of the boy who had just received his true father’s love for a short
time ... This once again verified my preference for dramas, which is like "Heaven" Movies such as "The Cinema", "Angels Love Beauty" and "The Years of Dog Face" are always my favorites.
I have to talk about it. I didn’t see it at all when I watched the film. I only learned it later on the Internet: the actor who is the old man, turned out to be the "Prince Ali" in "Lawrence of Arabia" and the "Prince Ali" in "Lawrence of Arabia". The Egyptian actor Omar Sharif who plays Zivag in "Doctor Ge". When he was young, he really made me dream about when I watched the above two movies (especially "Prince Ali"), ha ha. There are film critics on the Internet saying that his acting style is "gentle and honest". Thinking about it, it seems that it is indeed the case!
