My so-called good and evil are rewarded, my so-called morality, and my so-called respect for life are deeply and repeatedly tortured in this movie!
In the process of watching a movie, I often substitute myself into the role in the film, and I would like to ask what choice would I make if I replaced it with.
If it were me, would I choose to die? And will I fight back when I am killed? Will I see the box open? Will I be greedy when I see Treasure? What choice will I make when someone kills someone for a treasure?
This movie combines all the scenes of torture of human nature in a reasonable way, and it looks very natural. If the man who was killed is not found, there will be no story behind. Or if they didn't open the box, they wouldn't be greedy. Or if they follow the old man’s advice and don’t open the box, the following tragedy will not happen. Or they can avoid the tragedy later without being greedy.
Is it the chicken that lays the egg, or the egg that lays the chicken? Is it karma? Is it karma in Buddhism?
Greed, deceit, and betrayal in human nature repeatedly torture everyone in the film! Instead of you, what choice would you make? Do you choose to be numb? Do you choose the law of the jungle? Do you choose benevolence and morality?
In fact, there is no answer, no right or wrong, no good or evil, only a piece of meat. A piece of meat under desire. When dominated by desire, we are all walking dead!
