Even if the flood before I die

The film itself feels quite satisfactory. The black-and-white photography not only expresses the condolences for the dead, but also has a little literary and artistic style. The tone of Quebec French films is consistent. Regarding the performance of the event, it seems that I want to be objective and neutral, allowing the audience to judge by themselves, but unlike the documentary style, a lot of cross-editing has been used to disrupt the timeline, so in fact it is still guiding the audience's perspective and emotions. Other impressions are the special angles. The picture is turned sideways or upside down, showing an upside-down and chaotic atmosphere. This is a very technical skill. What I find most interesting is the scene where the blood of the murderer and the blood of a deceased are finally fused together. One is hideous and the other is serene, but the blood is the same. It seems to be the opposite of the alienation of the murderer in the whole film, showing that The murderer is ultimately just a human being just like you and me.

The PC said, of course, you have to stand on the side of feminism, but I think that using feminism as a response to this matter is guilty of the same prejudice as the patriarchy represented on the face of the evil watch. One conclusion I agree with is that the murderer just couldn't think about committing suicide. He just used feminism as an excuse for his miserable life during his lifetime, and then put a few backs before he died.

According to the later investigation, the murderer was mentally abnormal because of the unhealthy growth environment. Even if the feminist rights in this society are very good, he would only violate the society for some extreme reasons. If he believes in Feitian Noodle Teaching, he ran into the cafeteria and suddenly killed all the people who ate pasta, how should he reflect on it? Or I can't help but think secretly for the murderer, if he pretends to be a feminist to kill, so as to discredit feminism, how should he reflect on it?

Of course, there are no such ifs in this matter. The murderer's suicide note clearly shows the motive. So what if there is no suicide note?

In the 2006 shooting at Dawson College in Montreal, there was no clear motive. When comparing this incident with the shooting in 1989, a leader of Quebec said: At the Polytechnique women were targeted. But here, we have no idea. I don’t know the context of this statement. I understood it as “Just have a reason. Explain to the masses.” It seems that as long as there is a simple explanation that makes sense, and a label, “Oh, the murderer hates women’s rights” or “Oh, the murderer hates the ethnic minorities,” everything will be fine. Everyone will get what they need. If you are in favor of your own political stance, hurry up and emphasize your own ideas. Others can stop working. After all, "headaches and feet hurt," there is no need to discuss them in depth.

But on the other hand, I feel that even if the right actions are taken, and effective discussions and corrections are carried out, there will always be a small number of failures in this society. It is impossible to avoid that some people will go into a dead end, just like Matrix. System error still exists after six cycles. But the optimism is that it has been improving. The error rate is constantly moving to the decimal point, and the cost of failure is gradually decreasing. If the same incident occurs today, the progress of personal communication equipment alone will reduce a large number of casualties.

Regarding the survivors, male students and teachers in the incident were criticized by public opinion because they followed the instructions of the murderer and left the classroom without any interference. And what is shown in the film is even worse, it is simply humiliating the inaction of those who have survived. Except for the suicidal man, there is almost no sense of existence. The suicidal man ran to notify the guards, did not make sure that he called the police, and he did not look for the phone (When he rescued a girl, he said that the ambulance was coming soon, so maybe After all, I made a phone call and didn’t shoot it.) I didn’t even let the people in the building know about it so we could evacuate as soon as possible (it seems that there is no fire alarm system in this building), and I didn’t even try to go back to the first classroom. Rescue the wounded (only half of the people who were shot in this incident died), which caused the girl to believe that the murderer had returned and decided to pretend to be dead, delaying the rescue opportunity. But I'm not the only one who has the qualifications to laugh at others. When encountering this kind of thing, I must crawl out without looking back.
