1. For Anton

"For Anton" appears at the end of the film, referring to the director and screenwriter's friend Anton Yelchin, who is also the cute Russian brother in the new Star Trek movie. In June 2016, he was only 27 years old and unfortunately died in an accident.

Anton once starred in the director's film Like Crazy (Love Crazy, 2011), which also featured Fecility Jones and Jennifer Lawrence. Like Crazy won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. To commemorate Anton, the director completed the film in only 4 months, so as to catch up with Sundance in 2017. In order to speed up production, the film skipped the announcement of the cast and other links, and submitted it to the film festival at the last minute. In the eyes of the outside world, the film appeared very suddenly. In the eyes of the actors, the close shooting plan (filming in 18 days) made them feel like their bodies were hollowed out.

Both the film and Like Crazy discuss the love lives of young people. The director mentioned that because Anton has always liked these relatively low-key small productions, and they are telling stories about a group of close people. This is also very consistent with Anton's style of acting.

In addition, Pom Klementieff, who plays the protagonist’s ex-wife, is the sensitive mantis girl in "Guardians of the Galaxy 2." Friends is the beloved Matthew Gray Gubler in the American drama Criminal Minds.
